Clay-Bey was a let down of a fighter. So much talent and power but lacked an internal impetus to keep it going.

Many of his fights there are brilliant moments.... but then he'll just stop doing much of anything and fall way behind on points.

His fight with Clifford Ettiene is perfect example of this. Some moments he shows himself to be the superior boxer and then he stops all activity.

Here's his amateur fight with Wlad. He had Wlad hurt badly 3 times in this fight but can't do anything with it. The announcers call him on it regularly saying how he's just coasting.

It's also interesting to see that more aggressive Wlad style (pre Corrie Sanders). But even here in that last round he gets hit with shots that just have him out of it:

Wladimir might have the highest passion to talent ratio. Everybody knew the aspects where he was vulnerable and yet he manages to become the most dominant champion in modern history. A perfect example why boxers should always strengthen the elements of the game where they have advantages because that's the only way you can cover your weaknesses imo.
