“2017 has been a big year for us in terms of bringing in marquee free agents that can have an immediate impact on their division,” said Bellator President Scott Coker. “This group of flyweight signings demonstrates that we’re committed to that throughout our roster, as we’re adding even more depth to an already-competitive weight class. We’re adding a proven title contender, along with a group of prospects from all around the globe, and we look forward to putting on great fights and displaying the talent this division has to offer.”

Bellator's Women's Flyweight division is going to be very attractive to women like Letourneau.

they are making signings, but im not sure a fighter who went 0-3 under usada, and a couple of randoms are the marquee signings that will really make them stand out.

The best flyweights are still either in the UFC - they are just all fighting at 115 and 135 - or Invicta

if you look at the girs theyve signed

Valérie Létourneau (8-6),
Alejandra Lara (6-1),
Sabriye Şengül (Debut),
Kristi Lopez (2-0),
Na Liang (6-0),
Juliana Velasquez (5-0)
Keri Taylor-Melendez (1-0),
Ilima-Lei Macfarlane (6-0),
Anastasia Yankova (5-0),
Emily Ducote (5-2),
Colleen Schneider (11-7)
Lena Ovchynnikova (12-4, 1 NC)

Only one (MacFarlane) is ranked in the top ten by fightmatrix

And only Liang and Ducote are ranked in the top 20

So while they are making signings, 3 of the top 20 in the world is a long way from building a division, especially when you factor that a lot of the best 125'ers would also come from the UFC 115 and 135 divisions

fightmatrix has KGB at 8, even though she's never beaten anyone worth naming........

I think it's unfair to say most of the best flyweights are still in the UFC, when many of them are several years removed from fighting in the weight class, or have never fought in it at all. At this point, it's between Bellator and Invicta. Invicta certainly has the more experienced and known flyweights, but Bellator is growing their division at a much faster pace.

Hope all the female fighters the UFC has move to Bellator so we won't have WMMA anymore.
