Anderson Silva has to be the GOAT. No constant eye pokes, in a tough division, knocking people out, doing it in a way nobody has ever seen before or since.

As much as I like Weidman, what Silva did in the Octogon was almost magical.

Who can compare to him today? Will we ever see such dominance in a high weight division again?

He's was great and his run was the 3rd greatest ever... but he lacked TDD and Fedor Emelienenko has the greatest run of all time

Conor would be that and more if he just defended his titles

Conor is the closest thing to a prime Anderson in today's MMA.

Anderson Silva is the greatest of all time.

Far surpasses Fedor, GSP, hell, whoever....

It sucks because no, I don't think we are going to see that talent again in our lifetime :(

A statement like "nobody will ever pass" is shortsighted and removes any chance for objectivity.

I agree, Conor has potential. But this whole boxing thing takes away from his career. Maybe if the fight happens and he somehow wins I'll change my mind, but right now it's discouraging to see him waiting around.

Silva defended time and time again, each time doing the impossible.

Even Weidman admits Silva got in his head during that first fight. Leaves one with a question of what if that last punch didn't connect.

Conor is very close in terms of mesmerizing knockout performances. The way he took out Jose Aldo and Eddie Alvarez with ease was beautiful.

Silva is one in human kind and I'm not being sarcastic. Watching his highlights on YouTube is what got me to follow the sport

Conor has a left hand. Period.

Silva has everything from front kick to the face, submissions and flying knees, reverse elbows, walking away jab ko, muay thai clinch.... it´s not even close.

    Agreed.

To be fair, Conor's left hand is pretty sick. But ATM can't compare the two.

People keep exaggerating Spider´s ground skills. Being the best at Chuteboxe on the ground doesnt mean u´re that great.

Pelé´s prime was during the obscure Vale Tudo years... People forgot about him...
