Will humanity ever reach attain unity?

It's sad because we have plenty for everyone, or we can let a few take the vast majority and the rest of us fight for scraps.
We have enough for everyone, but not enough for everyone to have as much as they want. It's pretty easy to talk about this stuff from behind our keyboards though, isn't it? It's easy to commiserate with the poor and suffering, but how many of us are actually putting our money where our mouths are and going out there to help people? Or is it just enough to sit around and think about charity and peace?

Ugh, I'm so sick of this argument. If "true socialism" were possible, as laid out in socialist theory, you'd think that at least one group of people would have done it. Therefore, socialism is either an inherently flawed system or it has virtually no probability of success (with extremely high probability of terrible disaster that leads to the miserable suffering of its people). Remember, 20 million people died in the gulags of the USSR, which is more than were even killed in the nazi concentration camps. Socialism seems inherently bad. If you want keep trying the same things over and over again while expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

Socialism was never been implemented outside of a few micro community's. It lost the war of idea's, and I say, good!

Lenin was the man who hijacked the Russian revolution with black boots, and Stalin inherited that model. WW2 the Russians paid for that with millions of lives, and soon after a propagandists war began for territory and power. The cold war was really never about ideologies, but rather power. To the victors goes the spoils, and that means me and my tribe. Personally I dont care about an equitable world, I do just fine the way things are, and the have nots can do whatever they do. It matters not to me the name we give tyranny, be it democracy, or socialism, as long as I'm doing well.

I'm glad we got rid of guys like that and MLK, JFK and others.

If those guys kept on with all that "peace" "love" "equality" and such. We would have lost the war if more people would have listened to such nonsense.

Lennon *scoff* imagine.

If the world went Vegan over night it could happen, but that will never happen. Veganism is the evolution of human compassion and empathy towards all living creatures, animals and humans alike.

No, your "way" is an anomaly that only manifested itself on the foundations of death that has come before you. Empathy is what people do just before they are taken in to be slaughtered. Compassion is a dead end branch in the evolutionary tree if it goes forward as the prime meme.

I know a lot of people who would be pretty comfortable with this. It is what it is. Personally, I'd like to see us help others. I just don't want to do it at the expense of my own people.
