I think its more possible than you might think, many Arabs before the first World War resented not Ottoman rule itself but the attempts by reformists in Istanbul to centralize power in the capital at the expense of local elites. I think its possible, given the shared cultural foundation of Islam, for a power sharing framework to have been set up between the Muslim majority provinces and the imperial center that placated the local populations and elites enough to convince them to remain within the empire

Recently, there were a scandal with ACB owner. Some Ossetian trolled him (in instagram, from what I understand), Khasiev (ACB owner) said that Ossetians are the descendants of Iranian Jews and claimed that Ossetians stole history from Chechens (I didn't see the whole story, but that what I understand from comments). 5 Ossetian fighters refused to fight at ACB event because of his words and I think authorities said that can't guarantee safety at the event so event didn't happen.
I think I've seen son of this ACB owner posted something on social media, that Chechens are the descendants of Noah. I've seen days ago at vk news about first Chechen female mma fighter. Chechen people were not happy with his but then they found out that her mother is Russian. I remember that some guy said that this means she is not a Chechen, just a trash. But it's the specific of this group on social media, in it they shit on Atheist Chechen girls and other Chechens, who are not into all this traditional and religious lifestyle.

Putin's mentality is pretty much the same as that of any politicians, the environment he operates in, is simply different. He's no idealist, he doesn't hold any strong "conservative values". Much of his defense of "traditionalism" is the result of Russia's birth rates taking an enormous dip post-Soviet collapse, which resulted in the Russian population dying off at a quick rate. It's simply a pragmatic policy to boost fertility through any necessary, long-proven methods, or risk a huge structural problem further down the line as an economically challenged country is forced to deal with an aging, no-longer reproducing population.

His main concern is to uphold stability in Russia, so that he can continue being in charge, and if a piece of shit like Kadyrov can satisfy the jihadist element enough, to prevent them from openly opposing Putin's regime and causing problems, then he's the man for the job. The moment he can no longer deliver on that front, is when he will be relieved from his duties. But until that happens, he can run his place however he sees fit, as far as Putin is concerned. He doesn't want anything to do with that region.

Yeah Chechens take their traditions very seriously. As i was explained to, if they would be more liberal they would get crushed by other cultures around them, there are not many Chechens in the world, and the fact that they still exist is do to their conservative values and strong culture. I dunno if you remember but years ago there was talk show called "Окна" on Russian tv. I've seen replay of it months ago. Plot was something like: two gay guys in relationship wanted to have a baby. And no one tried to attack them or yelled offensive stuff at them. It was shot more than 10 years ago I think, maybe 13 years ago or something. Now I can't imagine such programme on TV.
