135 is stacked to the brim, and this guy is trying to clog up the assembly line. I like TJ Killashaw, but this is not the time to clog up two divisions.

The UFC keeps allowing these Champ-Champ fights even after all the debacles with McGregor and GSP.

There are beasts waiting for TJ Killashaw at 135. He needs to prove himself there, instead jamming up the division.

If beating Demetrious Johnson is more important than defending the 135 belt, then he should vacate and go down to 125 and fight DJ.

    The end.

He can make the weight and it is a super interesting fight

    Also- TJ already fought 1-3

    4&5 are booked
    7 just brutally KOed 8

There isn't a clear cut contender right now and TJ has been active and fighting very elite competition.

Rivera, Lineker, or Moraes are all one great win away.

Next person to have an impressive top 7 win could earn a shot while TJ fights MM.

And by god does 125 need an interesting fight so people might actually care and get into a 125 title fight. We know mm beats all the flys, let's see if he can handle TJ, who he already ducked pretty blatantly.

Pay them, book it and let's see the most interesting 125 fight in the divisions short history!

Because all the MMA nerds and the UFC are jealous of DJ's success and think he's faced weak competition. They want to see him lose.

The German's call it schadenfreude: to take pleasure in the misery of others. They don't actually want to see see the fight, or even care of TJ can make weight. They just want to see DJ lose so they can take pleasure in it.

There's no-one in the 135 division I'd want to see TJ "Killashaw" (as you like to put it) fight more than DJ..

So the third time the UFC does something in 20 years equals all the time?

    BJ vs GSP

    Conor vs Eddie

    TJ vs DJ

Because then maybe a Mighty Mouse fight will sell. This is a "Super-Fight" I wouldn't mind seeing.

Most interesting fight that can be currently made for TJ or DJ.

Then he should vacate 135, and move down. If he wins, then he can come back to 135 and be a two-weight champion. That makes more sense.

Yeah it's ridiculous to start calling out others especially someone smaller than you before you get at least one defense.

Come on man. The two things that give relevance to the weight class are the supposed best fighter pfp... and the possibility of a top fighter dropping down to give him a chance to prove himself.
Why do you hate the weemen so?

Sells more if you have a Champ going down to fight for another Title.

They dont like DJ very much, its no surprise they will take the offer of anyone willing to go to 125 that could beat him.

Fair point. If he'd won the belt and beat 3 or more top contenders and THEN wanted a break for a superfight I'd get it more than him winning the belt and immediately wanting a superfight WHILE also keeping his belt!

I agree. He can vacate if it's that important, but who am I to say?

I have no problem with that. He should vacate 135 and challenge for the 125 belt. If he is successful, then he can vacate 125, and challenge for the 135 again.

This way, both divisions keep moving and nobody is mad. It is a bad idea to keep both belts and clogging up two divisions.

Look at what is happening with McGregor and what GSP had to do. It is pointless to say "I am a two weight champ" when you are not even going to compete in the division. Basically, all you are trying to do is win two fights in a row. Many fighters have won two fights in a row, they just weren't given a pointless "two weight champion" title. LOL

It's not because there are no challengers at 135, it is because there is no one left at 125 for MM. I do wish MM would just go ahead and move up to 135 as he has truly cleaned out the division and is only left with rematches, but no one can force him to move back up if he is 100% deadset on staying at 125.

He was after the fight BEFORE he got the BW belt back when Cody was out injured and their fight after TUF was off.

I've been calling it since this fight was first proposed... I doubt TJ makes 125. He just wants to come in heavy at ~130, say he did his best, and have the UFC force DJ to fight him overweight. That way he can have a 10-15 pound weight advantage and beat DJ in a non-title fight.

He's just hoping to steal DJ's win streak thunder and make him look bad. Then he'll say some crap like "oh well I was sick and had a bad weight cut, but I could make 125 and beat him again".

If TJ comes in even a half a pound over 125, DJ should refuse to let the fight go on. Dillashaw should be forced to make the championship weight, even if he dies.
