Why isnt Dana excited about UFC 217?

I thought that promo was great. But overall it's been a terrible year for the UFC and Dana looks and sounds seriously depressed since McG-Mayweather. I think he realizes that treating McG as a unicorn fighter may pay SHORT TERM dividends for the UFC but is destroying his integrity to negotiate with nearly everyone else and making it very difficult to put insistently good cards together. The MSG card also doesn't help because almost everyone wants to fight on that card To the detriment of others. Then you have the MMA press pressuring for additional weight classes so they can hype more paper champions and maybe get a few more readers/listeners to their (mostly tone deaf) media.

The fun always has to end at some point, and I think it's over for Dana.

On paper one of the best of the year - why doesn't he give a sh#!? Marketing for this massive card has been pretty lacklustre.

Helwani is excited that's for sure!
