Why is UFC so heavily tested and not NBA or NFL

The NBA drug testing program is roughly consistent with that of other major North American sports leagues. From the agreement the NBA negotiated with the players' association during the 2011 lockout:

All players are subject to four (4) random tests each season (from October 1 to June 30). All players are also subject to two (2) random tests each off-season (from July 1 to September 30). All such tests are scheduled and conducted by an independent, third-party entity and are without prior notice to the player. The NBA and the NBPA are not involved in the scheduling of any tests or the selection of players for testing.

More importantly, if the NBA receives information a player may be cheating with drugs, that player can be brought, within 24 hours, before an independent medical expert with the power to order a rigorous course of testing. There is also a special course of treatment that allows NBA drug offenders to turn themselves in voluntarily, and as long as they abide by certain protocols, avoid punishment.

Because they are all "A level athlete's"

Unions stop the foolish idea that they are otherwise.

Because they like to fill areas with more than 7,000 in attendance. They’re football teams worth almost as much as the UFC and the NBA isn’t far behind.

I’d like to see the stats on “USADA” era injuries vs pre USADA and see how they compare and the type of injuries. Maybe an itemized list for illustration. CTE data won’t be available for review, for many years in MMA.

And by “they”, I mean the major sports leagues.

For those that don’t know steroids and peds are not a thing in NBA or really basketball at any level...weed overall and some ecstasy (in the young players) are about the only drugs they would test for

Nfl guys get caught regularly

Probably because those "athletes" are bouncing a ball around a small court while fighters are bouncing their heads on the mat?

You can't compare ball sports to actual fighting.

Most of them are sticks, height isn't an excuse, compare Wade at 6'4 to Overeem, Stipe, Ngannou, Brock etc
Yeah, by normal human standards they are not remotely small-

“Rail thin” ? They may look skinny, but remember they are all taller than 6 ft. Most of them are taller than NGannou. So how skinny they are has to be looked at in relation to they’re height. They aren’t small men.

They def aren’t small men they are giants but their strength levels are p4p atrocious and generally low. Look at the nba 185 pound bench combine stats and see mediocrity. “But but long arms makes it hard to bench” sorry having a 6’4 plus frame and weighing over 220 pounds should make up for the length of your arms in strength level.

The UFC all time greats legacy have been ruined by steroid scandals, when the NBA and NFL also has a high amount of people cheating using steroids and those guys never get tested or found guilty of anything even though they are better athletes than in the UFC; and they all look like Sage / Ubereem/ and Lesnar.
Those other sports have player unions.. mma does not.

Yeah.. If one of those sports were to be tested the most of the three, I would certainly hope it's the one where the goal is to beat the shit out of your opponent rather than get a ball past them.

You picked basketball players who are known for being heavily built. Typical NBA players are not built like that. Many if not most NBA players make Jones look stocky.

Imagine if one of these fighters got critically hurt against a juiced fighter. If the press got a wind of it, it would be the death of the UFC and maybe MMA as a whole. It would be spun into "caged animals fighting to the death" etc, instead of a legit sport.
The NFL is a bunch of 300 pound men on steroids running through guys at ridiculous speeds and force. It's literally the exact same thing you're talking about. There have been deaths in the NFL. There are hundreds of guys that have become paralyzed or received brain damage because of juiced up 300 pound men on the football field. Nobody cares.

NFL does have random drug testing and people do get suspended pretty regularly.
NFL players must be told where and when a drug test is going to occur. The guys that get caught are guys that don't know how to cycle.
10 years ago the UFC had the exact same system... We all know they were on steroids.

No one in the NBA has ever tested positive for EPO so no one in the NBA must be on EPO, right?

Trick question. The NBA doesn't test for EPO.

they are told 24 hours in advance.

Cause in nba/nfl they’re all a level athletes n there’s no point for them to take peds, therefore no point testing them

In mma/ufc most fighters are d level athletes so they’re more likely to use peds

Because is MMA is desperate to get accepted as a legitimate sport.

NFL doesn´t need testing. 100% natty.
