Why is Till different from other fighters who've missed weight?

Sigh. Dana, just phase in OneFC-style weigh ins already.

Its tired and lame, this weight cutting game.
Its not a "skill" of the sport, and needs to be gone.

It happens frequently. Generally whenever a main eventer or someone in a high profile fight misses weight there will be a brief negotiation to compensate the fighter who made weight.

Nothing new here, just maybe a little more attention because Dern recently brought a lot of attention to missing weight and Till has been bragging like an asshat about how big he is and how he is so professional and such hot shit that he will make weight.

It is also reaching the boiling point where fans are sick of this bullshit.

I agree with WB's stipulation, but why now are they're odd deals being able to be put in place? Unless I'm missing something, you either accept the fight or you don't. We all know WB daddy is scared af right now, but do you agree with WB getting special terms?

What you're missing is that once a fighter fails to make weight the contract is, for all intents and purposes, void, in that the fighter who did make weight has the option to walk away. That means he can also demand whatever he wants. Then the ball is back into the court of the UFC and his overweight opponent. The only question remaining is how badly do they want it?
