Not saying Conor could beat Khabib - I think khabib wins 19/20 times but Conor still should be in fine form when he loses.

He wants to take some time off to regroup and knows Khabib wants gsp, so after that fight and gsp drops the belt again Khabib will be next in line for a title shot.

as already menrioned connor needs another win agianst a ranked opponent. lets be real here, if conor plans on a rematch he needs some momentum. 2 wins could setup a rematch plus i perdonally am not all that interested in an immediate rematch anyway.

id rather khabib dight tony. who knows maybe khabib loses his next few fights anyway conor loses interest in a rematch.

if khabib loses too tony then i think the ufc will set up a gaethje fight.
