Why don't more guys push?

that would be true. lets just say it's not very sporting. you though tyson was good. fenech had the best elbows in boxing.

Tyson also tried an "armbar" on Botha, attempting to break his arm. He was asked why and replied that a fight is a fight, and it had nothing to do with Botha personally.

and that was what make tyson shit. he would throw tantrums when he started to lose, it didn't make him a better fighter just a dirtier one.

Tyson is not, and never really was, a fully secure confident person. Through no fault of his own, particularly. That takes just as much training as becoming a good fighter. Many guys like this try to find ways out when things aren't going their way. Tyson resorted to street tactics, Golota hit people in the nuts, so does Abner Mares, Hatton held and hit, David Telesco threw overhand elbows, Oliver McCall cried, Victor Ortiz headbutted and then wanted to hug and kiss...literally, and the list goes on and on.

Pushing/pulling/hand fighting is a great way to break someones rythm, get someone against the wall, and can be used to set up strikes.

If you're in boxing range its easy to grab a wrist/hand even if only for a second, thats all the time you need to push or pull your opponent into your strikes.

You can apparently do this and get a free pass if you're boxer in K1. So the rules sure aren't enforced if you do it on ocassioon.

Maybe the ref was a Mercer fan?

Awesome fucking video, thanks! The golden era in MT has some of the best fighters ever, out of all martial arts. So many different and excellent styles.

Someone needs to try and make catalog of Golden Era, Nak Muay's and their fights, I know video can be hard to find sometimes.

I bet there is a Thai somewhere that has a huge stack of VHS of every single top end Nak Muay from the era......

It just seems like most of the martial arts are becoming a big homogeneous blob within their own sphere......
