Well if all the oil, gas, coal, nuclear industry was state ran you get i am sure all the profits for the state 100% vs them lobbying for lower taxes and polluting environment etc. Do Americans really love capitalism so much you will defend oil giants and continue let them do whatever.


This is something right wing nationalist and left wing and centrist and socialists can all agree on. Think back to many right wing governments that did so in past or latin american nationalizations.

Saudi Arabia and Iran and Russia aren't Commie, but their livelihood runs off of state control of their resources. It's practically all of their annual budgets.

If they let "private enterprise" own their nations resources, those nations couldn't be afford jack shit for their people.

I'm super right wing, but we should nationalize oil, gas, timber, coal, and any other natural resource our great nation possesses and give the profits to the people. But first chase down all illegals and build that wall.

Norway isn't communist. The government owns 67% of Statoil , the 11th largest oil and gas producer in the world. Norway is a leading O & G producer in Europe. Statoil literally means State Oil.

Another 3% according to wiki sources is owned by government pension fund. So it is 70% government owned and thus they get 70% of profits or what?

Nationalizing of key sectors of an economy is something right wing nationalists and left wing socialists and economic centered people should and can agree on. Communism would be no government marxian type true form. State communism can vary but would be government owned everything and no real private propety. A far difference then having the oil and gas industry be owned by government and its profits go to the people. Libya before NATO destroyed it was well off and the people benefited from its state ownerdhip of it. Turkmenistan does to but is a more corrupt libya esdentially. Many other countries similar.
