Depression? Stipe just handled a silver back gorilla( figure of speech only, so don't go Woodly on me), and took Ford Escort service to the face going full speed and still survived! DC will be like a small cat trying to fight a lion! In conclusion, DC is asking for trouble because there is nothing that he can do that will change the outcome of his demise! My only hope is the bold bastard won't interview him when he wakes up, because this time around DC won't be a meme, he will be the joke of the MMA world! Tune in after this sad nonessential fight is over!

Hopefully Dana made it worth his while. They are doing TUF too. I've heard that pays well.

DC's got major balls taking that fight. Even if he loses, he gains respect

Didn't read. If DC wins he goes down as an even BIGGER legend and arguably the GOAT

Win or lose, DC earned mad respect from just about everybody just for taking this fight. While I can't help but heavily favor Stipe here, if DC was to win, he'd very likely go down as GOAT, or at least on the very short list for GOAT alongside Fedor and GSP.

Stipe is 100% against ethnic fighters.

It's a win win scenario for DC. If he loses he's expected to and has balls for trying. If he wins well he's done something no other LHW has and Jones never did and has two belts.

If anything Stipe has most to lose.

I hate these two belt things. Only one side has something to lose. Fans lose because no two belt champ can defend two belts - they barley defend one nowadays. Contenders lose out too. DC should have to give up his belt then fight if anything.

Hopefully Dana made it worth his while. .

Dc has the best chance to dethrone stipe. His cardio will be key here.

Still hoping stipe wins though

Losing is not easy for him, but there are a lot of mitigating factors he can use to reason himself into a better frame of mind should he lose to Miocic.

1) He can recall his earlier (as in one or two weeks prior to signing the bout contract) reluctance to go back to heavyweight and conclude he was right all along, before Dana waved a wad of bills and persuaded him to reconsider. In a weird way he would have won the argument by losing the fight.

2) He wouldn't be losing position if he loses the fight, he's still king of his division, and can smirk that he had the balls to do something that Jones has been threatening (but never actually got around to doing) for years.

3) There won't be the same sting of feeling an unworthy man triumphed over him. He doesn't respect Jones, but he likes and respects Miocic. If a battered JDS could say that if it couldn't be himself, he's glad Stipe is the HW champ, I'm pretty sure DC will be of similar mind.

DC wants to rack up some losses before he retires

wait till Jones comeback and hand him one more

dude is done

He won't, but please read so you would understand why!
Thats the difference between you and someone like DC. You see a massive challenge with massive risk, and say nah....play it safe. Dont even try

DC sees the same thing and says "lets put on some gloves and see what happens bitch"
