Why do some people support Conor earning 100 million?

I love North Korea, so your argument doesn't work here.

Even if all the bad propaganda stories about North Korea were true, it would still be superior to the modern West. Think about it.

North Korea is a festering scab on society - but that's what happens to people without asholes...

Why would you want Conor (or any other fighter for the matter) to earn that kind of money? How does it benefit society? How does it benefit the sport? How does it benefit you personally?

I constantly read people here saying "Conor fought Floyd to earn 100 million dollars" as if it is a good thing, to excuse Conor ducking contenders and not defending for more than a year.

Having that kind of money is nothing but greed, but the worst thing is that his fans don't even get anything from it, they just support it for some reason, even though it's totally immoral and wrong from social perspective, not to mention that it destroys the sport.

It's not just Conor, it's the same thing with Floyd fans and other fans who support this type of fighters and their persona. For some reason they care more about how much money they make rather than the integrity of the sport. Then they openly excuse the ducking and cherry picking because it's "good business".

They provide entertainment while putting thier lives on the the line so you can make shop threads if they get KOd.

I would rather conor get 100mill than dana get 400+100 mill any day of the week.

the sport integrity was never that and never will be there. stop blaming conor for being successful.

And yet you probably vote for the capitalist system which promotes inequality and the rich getting endlessly richer. while the masses struggle.

Confusing equality with fairness is the biggest failure of socialism.

No one buys that inequality means lack of fairness.

A country can have a high gini coefficient, but a great standard of living.

Who gives a fuck if Jeff Bezos is mega rich, as long as everyone else has food, clothes, and can afford to actually use amazons services.

The only sad part is that there are much more idiots that fall for the hype and pay for such nonsense fights than real sports fans. So few overhyped stars can earn hundreds of millions while other great fighters make 1000x less.

And now Conor wont fight at all and others are dreaming of similar 'money fights'.

If millions of people are willing to pay their hard earned cash to watch him fight, then why shouldn't he get paid?

He earns what people are willing to pay to see him.

If you paint a picture, and enough people like it and want it and are willing to pay millions to buy it from you, then why shouldn't you get the money?

Music industry (among others) case and point...

I believe that it really has little to do with the amount of money that he's making and is instead more of a personal choice.

Making money has never stopped other athletes in the past from coming back to beat more people up for more money, so ultimately they decided when and the reasons not to fight, the money doesn't.

I respect any prize fighter who earns enough money to get himself out of the fight business.

They don't owe me anything.
Conors already given me enough entertaining moments if he chooses to retire.

North Korea is facing aggressive politics from the USA. This is the cause of all the problems. Despite this, it is still going strong as a community and doesn't give a damn about the false so-called "human rights" ideology and other liberal capitalist instruments. Unfortunately, they can't fight their enemies any other way than being a closed society but I definitely support them in their struggle against the demonic degenerate West and its capitalist greed.

Since when are fight purses about benefiting society? These guys could get kicked in the head and be disabled for life, for your entertainment.

Second thread I've seen of yours that is absolute shit. Both about Conor. You're 2 for 2.

I support him giving me a million. 99 million is still a lot of money.

Don't take my dislike for their regime for acceptance of US policy, much of which is poisonous and divisive...

I personally do not like Conor, will watch him fight and am a fan of his fighting style. But he has made the sport more relevant the last couple of years and has had outlets that normally would talk about MMA talking about it.
It benefits the sport by bring in new fans and new revenue dollar.
Benefits me by keeping my sport relevant and keeps letting me watch it.

Here is one way how society ha benefited by Mayweathers wealth.

Not a Conor fan, but sorry to tell you that your whole "what's good for society" shtick is actually a morally bankrupt line of thought.

I've said this before and I'll say it again:

Conor and Floyd are entertainers. The money they receive is voluntarily given to them by the people who watch them. In that regard, they're no different than the guy standing on the street corner playing guitar and collecting cash in his hat.

So just exactly who the actual fuck do you think you are to make the call for when the hat's too full?

I am not a communist but I support the historic socialist regimes from 1945-89 that we had in Eastern Europe because those regimes were nationalistic and national interests were very important. We had strong armies, we were strong in sport and we were saved from the degenerate Western liberalism and SJWs.

If someone behaved like Conor in those GOOD OLD DAYS he would be questioned by the authorities for bourgeois deviancy and delinquency and beat up by police.

Socialist regimes invested a lot in sports and had very good athletes. Socialism is better for sports than capitalism.

Everyone wants to divide the world between socialists and capitalists, left and right, progressives and conservatives, and on and on. It's all bullshit. There is only one distinction that matters:

Totalitarianism and Freedom.

In other words, go ahead and feel free to be as socialist or capitalist, left or right, progressive or conservative as you like. I don't give a shit, Suzy. But you best extend the same courtesy back my way and leave ME the hell alone.

It's capitalism, and I can't hate it. If you can make it work, make it work. He put himself in the position to make $100M, through hard work and the utilization of many natural gifts, so he absolutely deserves it. Everybody else is jealous, yes, but also motivated to succeed.
He got a lucky lottery ticket.

You're being invaded right now. Might wanna put down your Marxism 101 study guide and do something useful.
Cuck.

I have nothing to do with Marxism.

If you refer to immigrants then this is a problem that was caused by capitalism. I live in an ethnically clean country precisely because we had socialism that didn't encourage any massive immigration. While the capitalist West was importing immigrants in massive numbers, the socialist Eastern Europe remained ethnically homogenous.

You can't be against immigrants and support capitalism. If you want nationalism, you need some type of socialism or some other form of system where the state dictates things and protects its people.
