Why do people want to believe that Jones & Silva are innocent so badly?

AHA!

"Fresh" rally of truckers you say?
That sounds pretty clean to me. Relatively speaking. So you're admitting that Jones is relatively clean.

They tested the supplement independently and found it was contaminated. Which is why he's not banned for 4 years.

and he was banned for 1 year. If he had been "cleared" he wouldnt

he was cleared of intentional use, he wasnt "cleared", he was shown to have a degree of fault in his positive.

That's what I meant obviously. If tests started getting overturned that would be a huge stain on the process and they would have to stop testing.

a lot of people believe that if they want something to be true that makes it true and facts don't matter.

Took him weeks/months to find a supplement that contained the drug.

You could literally scour the entire GNC product line and eventually find a supplement that contains a steroid.

And you'd have to have the funds and resources to have a lab test each one. Not to mention he tested positive for two substances. Do you know how expensive and lengthy a process that would be? That's not a feasible scenario at all.

Do you happen to know if Silva had disclosed this 'tainted supplement' he was using properly, before having popped? I haven't been able to find any mention of that in the articles I've seen addressing his 1yr. suspension.

Also, "Following notification of his positive test, Silva provided USADA with an open container of a compounded dietary supplement product he was using at the time of his positive test. Although no prohibited substances were listed on the supplement label, testing conducted by the WADA-accredited laboratory in Salt Lake City confirmed the presence of methyltestosterone and hydrochlorothiazide in the product. Thereafter, in the course of its broader investigation into Brazilian compounding pharmacies, USADA independently sourced numerous supplement products from the same compounding pharmacy that prepared Silva’s contaminated supplement. The analysis of those products by the Salt Lake City laboratory confirmed that they were similarly contaminated with prohibited substances, including multiple anabolic agents and diuretics."

The wording on this makes it sound as though he knew the exact supplement that sparked his positive. Had he offered them other products to test for the substances, was he only taking the one supplement, or did he just happen to 'get lucky' and pick the right offender first try?

Just curious if you have seen anything on those points.

Silva is innocent but unfortunately Jones is guilty

Couldn't one conceivably use the internet to search for a match, and...not waste a bunch of time and money also?

TS, Another head owned by Jon Jones... <JonesDXSuckIt>

lol Dude. Silva failed for drostanolone metabolites and androsterone in one test *before* his fight with Diaz, and then failed his post-fight test for Oxazepam and Temazepam and drostanolone metabolites (again); He tried to blame penis-pills.

USADA says the methyltestosterone and hydrochlorothiazide (that were irrefutably in his body), were also found in the shady supplement Anderson gave them as well as in other batches/products, but all that does is allow for 'reasonable doubt' regarding Anderson's intent to ingest the PEDS that they found in his body.

No matter how you look at it though, the guy is hardly innocent.

They don't believe they're innocent, they are just unwilling to admit it.

Low IQ underachieving people are "glory chasers". They are so desperate to feel some level of accomplishment that they're willing to be satisfied with becoming a drooling fanboi of some successful person.

You see it in Conor fans, you see it in Trump fans...basically any famous person with rabid followers. It's like a disease that only afflicts the slow-witted.

This is why people will not abandon their "heroes"...even after they've been proven to be degenerate frauds.

Why do you think these top guys are using this excuse and getting a lesser sentence? Bc they have the funds to make it happen.

People have hero's and they want to believe their hero's are perfect.

There are still Lance fans who are convinced he didnt cheat even after his confessions.

Its like telling kids the tooth fairy and father christmas arent real

when it comes to sherdoggers, there are also people who spent so long defending Jones and Silva against allegations that they refuse to back down and admit they were wrong, so they come up with all sorts of ridiculous shit to try and save face..

But then how did those silver dollars get under my pillow?
