Why are we talking about social welfare when corporate welfare is by far our biggest cost?

Corporate welfare stimulates the economy, social welfare drains.

Over half of the $3 Billion allocated for border security is going towards Donny's Magical Wall.

Note: The % of that wall that is being payed for by Mexico is still at zero.

Social welfare also stimulates the economy, because poor people are spending money.

Reason American critics ignore corporate welfare is because poor people are an easy target. Rich people have media and politicians on their side. Social Darwinism is also a popular sentiment on the right. Most critics of welfare are conservative, and conservatives are corporate friendly.

Another reason is race; critics of welfare are predominantly on the right, with the caricature of the Black welfare mom with numerous kids being a trope conservatives have used for political gain.

    Companies hire and pay people.

People that are able-bodied and not working are the dredge of society. They need to learn to not be useless.

Lol @ the idea that paying ppl to not work is good for the economy. And I'm not American my opinion has nothing to do with your race politics.

All that social welfare is just going to sit in those welfare queen's stock portfolios anyways. CEO golden parachutes are virtually all spent, stimulating demand in our economy!

Weak, failing companies should pull themselves up by their bootstraps rather than take corporate welfare.

Depending on the math, Wisconsin is giving up to $1 million per job to FoxConn to open a plant.

    http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin...sin-paying-foxconn-1-million-job-possible-if/

It will likely be less, but it is shocking that those numbers are even in the discussion.

This doesn't change the fact that we have too many people in the US that are lazy. If you're able-bodied and don't have a job in this economy then you're beyond worthless. These people have zero respect for themselves, why should society do all the work for them?

Just wait for a large correction to come- it's gonna be like a plague. Crime will be more rampant than ever. Stay prepared.

So people on social welfare don't spend their money with various companies and store in a vault, Scrooge McDuck style?

Not that I’m huge on corporate welfare, but corporations benefit society. Social leeches do not.
