I'm little confused, well actually quite so, about the fact that there are many people who seem to put a lot of their time here trying to proclaim how great WMMA fighters are.

Personally, it must be one of the most ridiculous thing to have observed in lifetime of watching sports that people are legit putting WMMA fighters in MMA pound for pound list.

In no shape or form, does this ever happen in other sports. Not a single one. Can you imagine comparing Alex Morgan to Messi? OR even top MLS players?

The sports and politics doesn't necessarily have to be in the same place and same time, nor is is time to be ethical and just in trying to be equal to everyone.

The reason that many enjoy the sports and watch or play sports, is the purity of it. Of course violence too. But, It's not to prove a point nor is it to be socially accepting and in line with our landscape that proclaims the need for social equity which always often sides on the side of strong and have's.

Even when it comes to the whole supposed gender inequity, it often seems like from succesful women with millions crying about a few millions that they didn't get, while have-nots, regardless of their gender suffers and toils under daily hardships.

Mixed Martial Arts seem to be on its path to be nothing but entertainment, more and more, and less and less of grounds for martial arts. Martial arts in its basis is about justice and fairness, respect and compassion, to be a better person, to become a better human being.

And in the path of becoming a better human being does not include trying to live up to the social standards that's being imposed on us, for certain gains and benefits that could be had, and trying to carry along a message or agenda, in spite of a glaring fact that it does not fit the picture or the truth.

And the truth is, our values as people does not depend on our abilities, especially something like sports. The truth is that there are many and many WMMA fighters who would severely beat down my untrained, severely out of shape ass. On the flip side of it, there is and has been and always will be a significant gap between female and male athletes.

There's no room for sugarcoating and spewing lies in the mixed martial arts. Only the truth and purity of the combat and the art of it.

Don't sell yourself short TS.

"Many many" wmma fighters could beat you? Odds are maybe a couple

Elite females athletes will just never be as good as elite male athletes.

Don't know why some people get so upset when people say they don't want to watch WMMA in the UFC when it can easily stay in Invicta and other female organizations.

It's an inferior product, and when I pay to go to an event or for a PPV I don't want to recieve an inferior product.

How many people who defend it actually watch Invicta cards? 1 percent of them?

That's a lot words for another post crying about p4p.

It's a goofy, mythical, fictional ranking, mostly determined by popularity. UFC decided to put girls on theirs. Most fans do not approve of this. Who cares?

I will never understand why people make such a big deal of P4P, half the arguments about it involve not knowing what it even means

Two issues come to mind. Talent level and co-promotion. WMMA is at a disadvantage both in age/evolution of the sport and pure physical talent. Time should add more high level practitioners, but unless fighters spend a decade changing their physiology before entering testing pools, physical progress will be slow if at all.
No other sport seems to combine men's and women's competition to the degree the UFC has. It may only serve to highlight the disparities. Women's only cards would allow the focus to be on positives and progress without exposing the somewhat amateurish nature of the talent pool in it's current state.
