Why are all the best mma fighters from the USA?

If USA had more interest in soccer we would dominate. Its pretty safe to say that. Look at our college level athletes

Soccer is an incredibly technical sport, you need to be naturally gifted and creative to be good at it, with only ''athleticism'' you don't go anywhere, it's not football where you just have to run and tackle other dudes.

Top 5 GOAT (not in order):

Fedor (Russia)
GSP (Canada)
Silva (Brazil)
Aldo (Brazil)
Jones (USA)

Look at all the top UFC guys in the present and also in the past. Most are American. It seems to be the same in boxing. Why is this?

It seems in general that USA produces better athletes in most sports. Is it because the US funds athletes more than other countries? I mean the only other country that really produces any good fighters is Brazil and it has come to light that most Brazilian fighters failed USADA testing.

Why is it that most other countries can’t really reach the standard of skills and toughness that USA fighters have? Will it ever change? It would be nice if other countries could produce fighters who could keep up with the American guys.
Good boxing
Good wrasslin
Good BJJ trainers

Americans suck at football so they invented other sports they could win, even called one of them football. Nobody cares about American football or baseball but they like basketball so now the USA isn't even the best at basketball.

Good call. There's many factors, you could make a list.
  1. MMA is very popular in the US hence many ppl train.
  2. Most MMA gyms/camps are in US. (related to #1)
  3. Wrestling (very useful for MMA) is part of the education system.
  4. Huge population - huge talent pool.
  5. Wealthy nation - people have the $ and time to train.
  6. The success of American MMA fighters motivates new generations to train - which in turn deepens the talent pool and the process re-enforces itself.
And also in other developed countries and even a lot of 3rd world ones you don't need to go into massive debt just to get an education.

MMA is big in the US, Brazil, the UK, Russia, Poland and Australia.

So obviously US and Brazil are going to dominate.

Because it’s not my retarded thread it’s yours. Nobody gives a fuck about baseball outside America and using it as some sort of evidence is dumb
Right--do your own searches if you start threads that claim some bogus shit. Thats your (TS) job.

I think it's safe to say that if Dagestan was the size of the US, they would be dominating MMA. 3 million vs 323 (USA).
Think about how many Dagestanis are in the UFC now, then times that x 100.

USA has a population of 323 million.

More people = More athletes/MMA fighters.

It's not rocket science, bud.

Even if it was. USA would most likely still be at the top of it. America dominates most other sports internationally. Look at the Olympics or baseball

Winter olympics are currently running. Lets compare US to Norway so far. Norway is a small country of 5 million people.

Norway: 9 golds, 9 silver, 8 bronze

US: 5, 3 and 2.

How it is possible that US is so much worse in winter sports than a country of 5 million people? Thats horrible.

There are clearly other factors involved.

How many Indian and Chinese fighters can you name?
Some countries are into a particular sport. Canada and hockey for instance or Brazil and soccer/football.

Others just aren't involved that much into sports or MMA.

Wow. You got annihilated right here lol

Its most popular in the states and also they have a good wrestling program at school which most other countries dont have.

Pretty sure it’s played all over the world. Why don’t you use google and find out for yourself?

No is not moron.

Baseball is played in the us cuba Venezuela and japan, the rest of the world gives 2 fucks about baseball. It’s none existent.

To your question, mma is a usa based sport and it feeds mostly of your amarcican talent, which are in the majority guys with wrestling background. Folky makes a great base and most important, creates really tough guys by the time the graduate from college, mentally and physically.

But most likely is numbers.
