Why all the symbolism in the entertainment industry?

What's with all the celebrity's and entertainment industry's usage of ancient symbolism, and just symbolism in general? You'd have to be a blind as a bat not to realize that it's an obvious trend.

Sure, song lyrics can be dismissed in many cases as allegory and/or metaphorical speech. For example, both DMX and Eminem have mentioned in songs that they've sold their soul to the devil. This could simply be metaphorical speech for them giving in to what they might consider their more negative impulses, or perhaps them feeling as though part of them was "selling out" (as in compromising their integrity, morality, or authenticity for fame and fortune).

But the poses, imagery, and references are quite persistent - specifically the poses and imagery, which seem completely unnecessary in plenty of instances.

    Examples:

So...what's the deal? Is the answer simply that it's just so awesomely artistic that so many celebrities, photographers, producers, etc. just can't help but include it in their poses, shoots, and music videos? Is it just the cool thing to do? Or is there something deeper at play here?

    Discuss.

It's kali worship and it's not just in the entertainment industry, it's everywhere.

Well, watching that was a waste of time. I didn't think he'd have anything all that insightful to share based on his title, and it turned out I was correct.

That's possible I suppose, although seems somewhat implausible to me that it's nothing more than simply an inside joke, seeing as they go through quite a bit of trouble to maintain it - plenty of money is spent on these music videos, photo shoots, and performances.

Yea, I have noticed that it extends beyond just the entertainment industry, but that's where it seems to be the most prevalent - or at least most noticeable for the everyday individual.

Why do you think it's Kali worship specifically, if you don't mind me asking?

Ah another one, wonderful. I'm sure he really closes the case in that one, but I'll pass. Thanks.

Symbols work on the subconscious and are very powerful. While our conscious minds might see only the design itself, the sub recognizes everything it represents even if were not consciously thinking it. They can be used to very subtly influence behaviours. Do you wanna climb the pyramid? I dont because I consider hierarchy fuckin wack, but the triangle strongly suggests thats what I should do.

Option two, Hollyweird always was living in fantasy land.

Interesting response, perhaps you're onto something. Clearly if there is a deeper meaning behind it, the displays are done because you're meant to see it - at least superficially, that is, with regards to your awareness.

Ive always loved the iceberg analogy of consciousness. Most of the shit our brains are up to were not even aware of. The Eye of Horus is an interesting one because it represent all seeing, the interesting part of it is its shaped like the pineal gland in our brains. Food for thoughts were unaware of I guess.

Because the 2 hands together the way they do it, is the symbolism of a vagina. And yeah, I know how crazy that sounds. Believe me, I really do. BUT, that shit is all over the place today. CERN has a kali statue outside their facilities. Not to mention Hollywood has been putting kali imagery all over the place for decades....how many movies/tv shows have u seen for decades that paint the wife as the boss?

Plus the music industry, specifically, for whatever reason, the rap industry, has been doing it for at least a decade. I made a thread about the guy who played Parker in Alien and how he found weird symbolism all over the ship (set) in the movie. And I made a thread about the weird ass control panel when Ripley self destructs the ship in the movie. That panel is literally full of kali and feministic terms. For real, look that up if you don't believe me. Not to mention, if you, as a man, don't notice a push towards feministic tendencies in society, and a push to feminize males, then you've got to be blind. And that all relates to the Father, God, being male. The opposite of that is evil, and it's feministic, but it's real and it's there and people get rewarded (temporarily) for being a pawn of that shit.

There's a reason Stanley Kubrick used to read books of the subconscious understanding of symbolism and why he included subconscious-level stuff in his films.
