Rambaa Somdet
He also competed in Muay Thai to some acclaim.
Didnt even know Cosmo was at Bellator, good answerDejdamrong it's definitely a good pick but he was well past his prime when he fought at MMA, he was a MT champ like 15+ years ago, he is a 40y old man now. When Cosmo Alexandre fought at Bellator, he was a top ranked fighter facing the best competition at his weight class (thais and Petrosyan)
He's not, he was some years ago, but Bellator fucked up with his contract so he retired 8-1 with 7 win streak and went back to MT/kickboxing, he fought at Legacy tooDidnt even know Cosmo was at Bellator, good answer
This guy:
Like who?Conor McGregor knocks muay thai fighters silly. So take that how you will.
I'd knock out everyone one of those juice heads in the USADA era.
Well hes definitely up there with one of the best thai boxers to have competed in MMA thenHe's not, he was some years ago, but Bellator fucked up with his contract so he retired 8-1 with 7 win streak and went back to MT/kickboxing, he fought at Legacy too
This was one of the most embarrassing things I ever sawHe's black from the waist down!
Agreed, there are literally no UFC fighters who are Muay Thai fighters. They are mostly K1 style strikers, hence the lack of damage in most fighters' elbow strikers. Even the knees are thrown different and from different angles. Some UFC fighters have amateur muay thai fights, I remember some guy commenting on sherdog saying that Cerrone was a world champ in Muay Thai, lmao. This, 100% this.
He's the only guy I know of who's actually competed in the Stadiums, held titles and has had a lifetime of Muay Thai.
You won't see great Muay Thai in MMA until Thailand gets more involved.
