Who's really crossing the US Border.

Do it legally, won’t be no problem.

Regardless if you agree with that OP, Polish deserves a like from all of you damn it.

I just copy and pastes the articel.

Benjamin Wittes is a good follow on twitter. He is a member of both Brookings and Hoover.

Why would gang members admit to being gang members when apprehended?

I guess if you consider everyone a gang member it helps fit your narrative and helps you sleep at night.

Once again I haven't seen one person advocate open borders. This is just right wing mental patients twisting a story like they do with everything else.

Getting caught illegally crossing the border and then claiming asylum is considered illegal. Claiming asylum at a port of entry isn't. We aren't talking about people going to ports of entry though.

The most basic economic theory is evidence that they depress wages. And of course there is tons of actual evidence saying the same.

I'll check these out later in the week. Rewatching last week's Westworld now in preparation for the season finale

They aren't flooding the job market. Border crossings are at low point compared to the past 30 years.

Many are trying to claim asylum which is legal.

There is no evidence that this suppresses wages.
I don’t have any links right now but illegal immigration and low wages are one of the few economic truths in this discussion. Things such as taking all the jobs is not true and at worst they have no effect on employment rates and often they’re correlated with higher employment rates. But they do lower wages in places they settle.

Tbh about 75% of the time I’m only even replying to the thread title & not the OP
I try to actually read things on this topic since its what our country is stuck on and how trump got elected and its starting to become clear that the facts and the rhetoric arent adding up .

Im well aware that the whole world cant live in america but these people are in quite a plight ... also they arent from terrorist countries we are making war with so it is in my opinion that we do some shining beacon on the hill shit and sort this mess out and do some good

Which isnt going to happen

Because people seem to think terrorists and gangsters are crossing the border like ants so we elected an orange buffoon

Any good links on that?

What are your trying to say?
I realized that came off wrong and came here to edit.

What I mean is that I have got so I can recognize what the point will be before I read the thread, depending on who posted it. I knew the story was going to be that its just hard working people who are coming, when we all know that its not. ITs people coming here because they believe we are going to cater to them, give them shit. And we do.

Well when Mexican cities make up 25%!!! of the top 50 most violent cities in the world, then yes I would also be overly cautious about just letting people in willy-nilly. South America makes up 85% of the top 50 by the way.

Cool story, bro. They're still illegal.

If the people coming into the US illegally were taking white collar jobs. We’d have a wall that made the Great Wall of China look small built in record time.

So it makes sense that non criminals would be fleeing those places.

The US actively recruits immigrants for white color jobs. We have a shortage of high skilled labor. So we actively recruit doctors, engineers etc....
