Who'll be in the Road FC 32-Man Lightweight Tournament?

I want Kwon to go through the tournament defending his title. Depending on how the tournament money is settled, the winner will be a higher ranked fighter than Kwon.
While I think that Kwon, as their biggest star, should be in the tournament, I don't agree with champions being in tournaments like this. I feel it devalues the title.

Here are the press releases for each of the Internation Trials matchups. I thought I'd post them, because the Talk a little about each of the fighters, some of whom are unknown to many.

I'll update this post when the particpants in the Japan and Eastern Europe trials are announced.

Damn, TBH it is better than I expected. Kuntz, Fukuda, Cheng, Toninho Furia, Andy Main
Thanks @leto1776 for all the info posted

This make my day....one of the worst cuts in Bellator history.... If he gets a place he is a serious horse to win
Could have been 2-0 in the promotion and fighting for their title right now. He very arguably beat Teixeira and was flat out robbed against Primus. It's a shame that he and Ronys were both fighting in small regional promotions before this tourney, both would do well on any roster.

What if Road calls Justing Gaethje and he participates as a seeded fighter in the tourney (?) just through about this recently..

Does anyone have a list of:

B) All the qualifying matches

I believe Reydon Romero is the only one officially in the main bracket, rest are still in trials

Chinese Trials 1st round:
Khuukhenkhuu Amartuvshin vs Rodrigo Caporal - Amartuvshin won a decision due to Caporal missing weight, since Caporal would have won without point deductions he gets a 2nd shot in the International trials
Habiti Tuerxunbieke vs Shuoyo Tao - Tuerxunbieke advanced
Zhenyue Huang vs Changzhao Yu - Huang advanced
Nuerdebieke Bahetihan vs Lianru Shang - Shang advanced

2nd round:
Amartuvshin vs Tuerxunbieke
Huang vs Shang
2 winners will be seeded into the main bracket

International Trials 1st round:
Ronys Torres vs Ermek Tlauov
Chang Hyun Kim vs Andy Main
Gleristone Santos vs Batmunkh Burenzorig
Shamil Zavurov vs Won Gi Kim
Rodrigo Caporal vs Dae Sung Park
Leo Kuntz vs Young Gi Hong
Shinji Sasaki vs Albert Cheng

2nd round:
Yui Chul Nam
Winners from round 1
Also Melvin Guillard vs Seung Yeon Kim was rebooked for April, not sure if they are considering it a 2nd round bout or not. All the winners of this round will be seeded into the main tournament.

Alternates for International Trials:
Hyung Seok Lee vs Hae Jin Park
Won Bin Ki vs Je Il Jung

URCC trials:
Rahul Raju vs Andrew Benibe - Raju advanced
Reydon Romero vs Patrick Manicad - Romero advanced
Romero vs Raju - Romero advanced, seeded into main bracket

DEEP Trials:
Kota Shimoishi
Yuki Okano
Luiz Andrade I
Kimihiro Eto

MFP Trials:
No one confirmed yet

Just a quick glance of their records, I'm going with Kota Shimoishi.
I would definitely say he's the favorite but hard telling when you have multiple fights in one night. He was on a tear prior to the Kitaoka loss and beat Amartuvshin in his last fight. Okano could be a dark horse in these trials, 3-1 since dropping to LW with his only loss being to Kitaoka, also already has a win over Eto. Andrade is weird, he either gets finished quick or has a competitive decision regardless of the level of his opponent. Eto is still fairly young into his career, already lost to Okano and has a draw with Andrade but those were a few years ago.

I'll update this post when the particpants in the Japan and Eastern Europe trials are announced.

Feature on Rodrigo Caporal added.

Interview with Dae-Sung Park: http://roadfc.com/main/news/news_view.php?key=JTI1MjUzRCUyNTI1M0RnTTBZVE8=

As his is by far the most "interesting," I'll put in some cliffs:
- knows his opponent, Rodrigo Caporal, is a BJJ expert, so plans to knock him out, but isn't afraid to take him down if necessary.
- His dream as a kid was to fight in the UFC, but now it is Road FC
- No love for lightweight champ A-Sol Kwon: "My childhood dream was to fight in the UFC. But my dream is being realized in ROAD FC. There are many high level fighters coming to this tournament, so I think that ROAD FC is no different than UFC or Bellator. Except for Kwon A-Sol. It's ridiculous. All the other fighters in the qualifiers are better than him. I might win a few really hard matches, but in the end Kwon is still the King. There will be some difficult matches, because there are a lot of strong players, so I really don't know where I'm going to end up. Actually I would like to beat up Kwon A-Sol one day.”
- seems to have a few bones to pick with guys from Apgujeong gym, as well:
I don't like the guys on Team Gangnam. Kim Jae-Hoon wants to beat me up. If I fall out of the tournament then I would like to move to Openweight and fight Kim Jae-Hoon, I really don't like him. Hong Young-Ki is also in the tournament but he should go back to the countryside and play Taekwondo. Considering the status of ROAD FC now, Kim Jae-Hoon and Hong Young-Ki should be sent back to the amateur Central League. I guess I'll have to clean out their team.”

Shots fired!
