Bisping won the belt on June 4, 2016 and Conor won the FW belt on December 12, 2015 and the LW belt almost a year ago on November 12, 2016.

Bisping defended his belt against 47 year old 15th ranked Hendo and is saying he's going to retire after beating GSP. Conor is trying to negotiate a title defense against Diaz and has talked about retiring young before.

Will it be Bisping, Conor, or will they both retire after their next fights.

I'll go with Mcgregor. I actually think it's possible he might fight the winner of Ferguson vs. Lee. Bisping is going to be tied up for longer and if he did fight a legit #1 contender next it would be further down the line.

Conor. Bisping will probably lose the belt to GSP. He won't get another chance to defend it.

Probably neither, if one is to do so I would bet Bisping.

Conor if push comes to shove. If it hasn't become blatantly obvious by now, Bisping is gonna retire after the GSP fight.

    neither.
    they will both retire.
    Bisping after GSP
Conor (If he comes back at all), after fighting Diaz.

In either case, I expect them to lose.
Not much because they lack skills.
But Conor is obviously content with the Boxing money he made. If he comes back, it will be a half hearted attempt for a fun fight, nothing serious.
As for Bisping, he obviously knows there's a lot of heat on him for ducking his whole division. He knows that a victory over GSP means Whittaker title shot or worse, a rematch with Luke.
He is obviously thinking retirement, but the fact he is thinking ahead and already rather retire than fight those guys, it shows his mindset.
Plus he is over-confident while GSP, for anything anyone can talk about him, they KNOW he is a workhorse that will come prepared for a fight.

Are we considering interim champs #1 contenders here?

Either way, I'd say Conor just because I think Bisping will retire first. More likely, neither of them ever defend against a #1 contender.

The only champs trying to fight legit contenders seems to be JJ and Stipe, and now that D.C. has the belt, I'm sure he will

Everyone else seems to be chasing money fights

I'll say Bisping for a few reasons. First, I think Bisping has a better chance than Conor at retaining his belt after their next fights. Bisping should be a heavy favorite, as he's fighting a much smaller man who's been retired for four years. On the other hand, Conor-Nate is essentially a pick em fight.

Secondly, if Conor were to beat Nate, he has more "money fight" possibilities than Bisping. It wouldn't be too surprising if Conor called out GSP or Woodley, or took another sham boxing match against Paulie. I suppose Bisping could fight Anderson next, but that also depends on whether Anderson beats Kelvin. And I'm not buying the Bisping retirement talk.

Conor. I don't believe for a second he's retiring after his next fight (especially if Nate wins).

He's too much of an egomaniac to simply go off and count his millions. And short of another freakshow what other platform does he have with the audience of MMA?

Bisping is outta here after GSP IMO so Conor probably

He's gonna duck Whittaker and duck a Rockhold rubbermatch

He's gonna ride off into the sunset with his little "money fight" and laugh all the way to the bank

I will give Bisping this, he sure orchestrated a clusterfuck successfully in the mw division

"Beat" Hendo to avenge his ko, had Robert bump Yoel out of there, and got his precious GSP fight

He got away with all of it

Neither probably will. but if I had to pick one that is more likely it's Conor.

He's just lucky Whittaker's injured knee got injured even worse.

If Romero didn't do those oblique kicks then he was going to get KFTO by Whittaker.

Well Bisping will retire after GSP wallops him and Conor will lose his belt to Nate Diaz. So the answer is neither.
