This is a forum to discuss the UFC and MMA, with actual athletes completing in a combat sport. Meanwhile, this thread has devolved into a discussion of soap opera actors taking part in wrasslin'.

One of those soap opera actors was the former UFC Heavyweight champion. Sakuraba an MMA legend used to venture between the two, as did Shamrock, Severn, Frye, Coleman, Randleman, Sapp, Takayama and a whole host of others. If you read the OP and were aware of what the topic was, why not just leave then and there? MMA has deep roots in professional wrestling whether you're willing to admit it or not, in fact UFC has been ranked as the most successful professional wrestling company a couple of times.

I had to Google this bullshit to even know what you are talking about. I read all about Shane Douglass and the NWA World Title Tournament held in 1994. Who the fuck cares? I even had to find out what "shoot" means in reference to pro wrestling. That's when you know your work is bullshit...when you have to use a special word to identify the legitimate moments.

The most hilarious quote from the wiki is this: Douglas' actions have been described as "killing the title's credibility forever".

As if it held any credibility before?

This pro wrestling fan...is every pro wrestling fan.
