Roger Moore for me. Sean a close 2nd.

Best film probably Moonraker. But I like them all. The early ones are really good.

Fuck you guys.

Confirmed what I already knew... bunch of clueless, tasteless wankers in here.

Moore was a fucking boss.

Moore was the only homosexual Bond.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

The first Daniel Craig movie

Aka the second rendition of Casino Royale. I remember how everyone was shitting on the selection, saying he wasn't right for the role and was not a big enough name blah blah

Then he shuts all the doubters up and absolutely kills it. Best Bond ever

Honestly though I think something like Skyfall is just so far from something like The Spy Who Loved Me in style its next to impossible to compare the two.

@Loiosh

Moore was the only homosexual Bond.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Projecting your fantasies onto Moore isn't cool, bro.

Daniel Craig
Sean Connery
Roger Moore
Pierce Brosnan

Can’t believe how many votes a Brosnon got. He was the worst imo. Man that movie he did with Halle Berry was the freakin worst

I think they are all kind of great.

Connery- the epitome of cool. He sort of encompassed all elements of Bond that the successors brought to the table individually. The coolness of Brosnan, the physicality and intensity of Dalton and Craig, the humor and charisma of Moore and Lazenby. He is the original and is in some of the best films. I think he’s probably still number 1 but Craig may be my personal favorite at this point.

Moore was great. There was sort of a breezy, comedic element that he embodied well. He had great verbal jabs to the villains and he could also convincingly handle the action. A lot of his films are also underrated. Live and Let Die is an under appreciated gem in my opinion. For Your Eyes Only and The Spy Who Loved Me are great. Even in some of his weaker movies, (and there are really weak ones like Moonraker) he acquits himself well.

Dalton was badass. In my opinion, you can’t really appreciate Craig without giving praise to Dalton who was that most intense iteration of Bond at that point. He could still have a sense of humor, he still got the girl, but that Bond had some real ferocity to him. I think License to Kill is pretty entertaining but has little rewatchability. Conversely, Living Daylights has great replay value and is one of the most underrated Bond films.

Brosnan had a ton of potential and still shone very well in the role. The only disadvantage for him was the overall caliber of his canon. Goldeneye is epic. Tomorrow Never Dies is very solid. But The World is Not Enough, and, particularly, Die Another Day, are not impressive. Die Another Day is actually kind of trash and it’s a shame that is the one he has to go out on. Still, an awesome Bond for the 90s. He really fit the role.

Lazenby only had one film, but it happens to be one of the best. Great 60s vibe to it, cool plot, one of the best Bond women ever (quite possibly the GOAT- and it makes sense since it’s highly talented and beautiful Diana Rigg), emotionally resonant ending. Also some great bawdy humor when Bond is posing as the genealogy expert at Blofeld’s compound. Lazenby did quite well. It’s just you can’t really judge him all that much on the basis of one film. Kickass movie though.

i think Craig and his tenure are tremendous. Two top-five Bond films, one mediocre dull fest and one quite good film that can’t reach the levels of the ‘06 and ‘12 films. I think Craig’s intensity and personality complement the Bond for the modern era vibe that those films are going for. Respect to him.

Top 5- in random order
From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Skyfall, Casino Royale, On Her Majesty’s (Spy Who Loves Me and Goldeneye are right on the fringe).

I've got a soft spot for the older versions, but I think Craig's is the best version that was fully realized, and without the camp. "Casino Royale" is also my favorite Bond movie.
