I guess it should be a fighter who has achieved something and is definitely a good mixed martial artist but he hasn't really shown that consistent great form over the years or a certain memorable moment of ultimate brilliance but is somehow still always been considered a top fighter all this time for god knows what reasons.

I think we all know the fighter who ideally matches this description and there's no need for me to even type out this name.

please discuss

these threads inevitably end up pointless fighter bashing threads.

of course, that's clearly your intent.

Of all time? Probably BJ but Conor has the possibility to take it years down the line.

TS is well aware of this.

Edit: Didn't see the last part.

BJ Penn and Shogun.

Definitely Conor McGregor. I like his fights, and he's definitely a top fighter. But he isn't a pound for pound or all time great. At least not for his fighting. He's an outstanding Featherweight, but boasts a record of 1-1 at both LW and WW.

Uhm, can't peeps scrutinize fighters in a civil way?
You'd have to ask the crowd, not the one guy pointing out a historical truth. That being said, I contributed.

Ones currently a champion and one isn't

And don’t forget, she moved down a division to fight a smaller girl moving up a division

Lets see Stipe drop to LHW to fight someone coming up from MW <36>

Jon Jones
Anderson Silva
George St Pierre
Fedor Emelianenko
