Luke Thomas doesn't come across as pompous to me. He always gives the disclaimer of "I am not an expert, and if you really want to go knee deep in this topic, look for these guys, they know what they are talking about."

I don't think a pompous person would do that. Guys like Jordan Peterson, Sam Harris and Ben Shapiro are proper pompous, and they have all types of beta males following them around like newly hatched ducklings. LOL

It was hilarious when rogan had danaher on his podcast, and he was talking to rogan like a child when discussing mma. The guy knows his stuff for sure.

I lol'd when Danaher kept asking Rogan rhetorical questions about jiu-jutsu when they were watching competitions and the latter couldn't answer any of them.

This. At least Danaher has skill and is renowned for his coaching. I'll take an asshole genius over a nice idiot any day.

Joe was giving answers, they just weren't said the way Danaher thinks about them.

Danaher legitimately comes off as a prick, but he's got such an interesting way of thinking about grappling that he gets away with it. He also can't compete because of his condition which makes him way less easy for other people to talk shit to.

Like, If Eddie Bravo talked the way Danaher did, do you know how many guys would be lining up to fight him?

Amen, being good at something doesn't negate someone's being a fuckhead.

Wearing a rash guard to weddings, podcasts is Jeffrey Dahmer-level troubling to me.

Honestly I really enjoyed listening to his podcast, but for some reason when I watched clips of it in YouTube he came of as really condescending.

I can’t really blame the guy though, dude lives in constant pain from destroying his body. He even mentioned during the podcast he knows he comes across how he does and he thanks his students for putting up with his crap.

And he’s pretty undeniably a grappling genius, I’d kill for a chance to train with him. Tom DeBlass is doing a seminar by me soon and I’m looking forward to that in the mean time.

It's Luke Thomas for sure. Danaher is expert level. Luke Thomas is a cuck. He literally thinks if you don't like the new Star Wars you can't be an intellectual. Pretty fuckin hilarious. Don't offer an alternative viewpoint or play Devil's advocate with that guy cause HE IS ALWAYS RIGHT

To go on Rogans podcast, as his guest, you'd think you would be polite, and accessible in conversation.

Instead, he asked these loaded, vague questions that could be answered in many differing but correct ways, which is kind of a set up.

And then he pauses, stares and waits on Joe to answer, before finally doing what he should have done without the pop quiz format; he explains what he sees and why it works.

He didn't need to employ tricky phrasing, or impromptu
"...do you know?" questions in order to convey his points.

He just wanted a chance to hear Rogan give a basic response that he could dismiss before correcting him in the most placating tone possible.

Now, it's not a crime to be a bit of a dick, so I'm not trying to white knight for Joe by any stretch.
    But --
You're on Joe's podcast, so it's rude and off-putting in this context. If he's sitting on the mat at Renzos, or on the barstool next to you, I'd agree it's harmless like others are saying. But, you don't go to a man's bbq to nitpick how he grills, that's lame, and even lamer in a lime green rash guard.

He even made a little dig at Joe for being 10th Planet, and I think that's the embodiment of petty.

So yeah, he's a great philosopher and coach and his process is fascinating.

Doesn't exclude you from the asshole category.

You think people with healthy egos want their star pupils to have their crew named after their self? You think he tried to persuade them to name it something WITHOUT his name included?

    Lol dude is very obnoxious,
