I have a comp coming up in a few months and want to take training more seriously. I need something to help my physical recovery and mental performance on the mats (memory etc).

What supplement do you guys take and why?

    Currently i'm thinking of:
    • Multivitamins - general health
    • Vitamin D - general health/Anti carcinogenic
    • Vitamin B6/B12 - to support brain function and mood after training
    • Omega 2,6 fish oils - to support brain and joint function
    • Glucosamine & Chondratin - to supports joint function
    • 5HTP - to support concentration and enhance sleep
    • Creatine - to sustain energy levels
    • BCAA - support muscular recovery
    • Magnesium - supports neuromuscular skeletal system recovery

This is going to sound lame, but the best one is food and sleep.

Aside from that, supplements i found haven't helped too much, the difference is minuscule, but I do take:
    • Multivitamins
    • Vitamin D
    • Fish oil
    • Creatine

I can't say that any supplements have made a jot of difference to my BJJ either in terms of performance or recovery, and I've tried a fair few.
