I just finished watching A Space Between Us. My thread title is of a question that is asked throughout the movie.

I'm too sarcastic not to say weed and poontang as an answer, but I would also like to add technology to that list. I remember playing with a rock and a stick as a kid. Though to be fair that was probably more about being poor than technological advancement.
