Comes down to pasta v pizza, that’s a toughie...

Could you genetically cross rice and a potato? So it's like a potato tree?

Potato is clearly superior to all of the above.

So are beans, but you chucks eliminated them.

Rice is a grain and can be made by itself, cereal, desert, noodle, meal, etc.

Potato is a root that can be made by itself, desert, noodle, meal, etc.

Wheat is a grain that can be into noodle, bread, meal, etc.

Shouldn't the the three choices be
A. Rice (clear winner)
B. Potato
C. Wheat

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had gnocchi and been disappointed, including my last few trips to Italy.
I hat it delivered from a pretty nice restaurant and I didn't like it all. I thought maybe the restaurant fucked it up, but everyone else said it was good. Is it suppose to be rubbery and bland?

Potatoes are by far the most versatile. You can make flour from potatoes and create bread, or just a potato loaf. Gnocchi is also potato pasta. So...yes, potato.
Gnocchi are not potato pasta but they are awesome.

Potato cause it makes for inexpensive fast food. I'd go for pasta if they made fettuccini Alfredo at all the fast food places.

Lets just eliminate rice for this round.
Otherwise poll is obviously rigged.
Top 3 will be cruel to vote.

I'm sure I'm missing something, but the reality has never met my expectations.

Shouldn't wheat be an option instead of bread and pasta?

Oh shut up Captain Semantics, they may technically be dumplings but they’re used in almost every pasta-like application. Couscous is technically pasta, but no one considers it as such.

lol. shows how different people are.

BEans and Potatoes should be #1 and 2 off the list.

Bread and rice can go next in either order.

Pasta wins this hands down if people are sensible.

Roasted parmesan pesto potatoes are awesome. @headkicktoleg

Dauphinois potatoes are the best potatoes. Floury spuds, cream, garlic, and Parmesan of gruyere. Dear God.
