He is the best voice on the conservative side. But he is wrong on a few issues

Well, it's a little more interesting than that or simply being a libertarian that's disgusted with the alt-right and supports Israel. He's libertarian on drugs and conservative on gay marriage for example.

I don't know how you could not simplify that though. It's a hot topic and we're told we should all just play along, but in reality it's just body dysmorphia the same as anorexia. In fact, anorexia is 3% of the population while transgender is like half a percent, which has doubled in just the last few years since it became trendy. It very clearly is a mental disorder with permanent consequences and now a decent chunk of the population think it's just cool to sterilize kids.

He's mentioned he would have been more accepting of Gay Marriage being legalized if it had been passed in the Congress and Senate then signed by Obama. Instead, it was imposed upon five judges that are never up for reelection.

Unless their wheelhouse is high level law school debate leagues, then it doesn't really matter.

Debate is just as much about intellect as it is tactics and preparation. Ben is very good at that, and a great intellect on top of those things, but he seems very much a bully at these events and I still have yet to see him debate someone who is a worthy challenge.

Like for real, fucking Cenk Uygur?

Yes, but he takes the religious/social conservative argument against gay marriage, but not on drugs. Not just the position. With drugs he argues for the ineffectiveness of Government Regulation (standard Libertarian ideologue), and with gay marriage he argues that despite thinking Government should get out of marriage (because it failed to promote and support traditional marriage), gay marriage is a social evil (the religious argument).

To be 100% accurate, he would like government to completely stay out of marriage.

Let me check...



So his 'Government should stay out of marriage' is more of a libertarian stance, than religious.
