Well, Kongo is on a five fights winning streak, which is probably the longest in Bellator's HW division and includes a win over Volkov. Those fights weren't pretty, but I can see why he thinks he deserves a shot.

I was just telling someone else that Kongo doesn't bring any star power to that list and his fights are extremely boring to watch. His win streak is the only thing he has in his favor. Maybe if Coker opened it up to 16 instead of 8, he could get Kongo, Lashley, Carwin, Rory, Vinton, and a few more to make it interesting.

Eh... No thanks. Big Fedor fan here but after the defeat to Mitrione of all people I just want him to retire and it's showing how thin Bellator's HW division is when you have 4 bloated fighters competing at a weight class they wouldn't originally be competing in.

They could have made it all HW with Cheik Kongo, Sergei Kharitonov, Bobby Lashley and Minkakov but I think they were just going for most name value in a tournament.
