UFC doesn't do tournaments.
The milks gone bad.
Mitrione and Nelson already fought in a TUF finale.
Hopefully Fedor and Mir dont just stand there head hunting
Why are they bothering to call it a heavyweight tourney instead of openweight?
Rampage will smash Chael
this is going to be decimated by injuries
Fuck it. Mir beats Fedor.
You mean make an HW "tournament" full of LHW's and MW's?
those match up kinda sck.
Mir Vs Fedor is great tho.
why Roy Vs meathead renatch ?
why put the 4 lhw against each other ?
Fedor vs Mir
Roy Vs Page
Mo Vs Matt
Bader Vs Sonnen
that would have been my match up
Well they will all likely be between 205 and 265. They might not all be natural heavyweights but that doesn't really matter.
Because they will all weight in at heavyweight
That was Nelson and Schaub
I dont understand the matchmak8ng at all
All the LHW fighters walk around over 205 any day so it makes sense to me and I like this idea of fighters not pussing out.
Eh... No thanks. Big Fedor fan here but after the defeat to Mitrione of all people I just want him to retire and it's showing how thin Bellator's HW division is when you have 4 bloated fighters competing at a weight class they wouldn't originally be competing in.
UFC never tried to make a heavyweight tournament.
Also that's not exactly impressive considering half of those fighters aren't even heavyweights.
Fedor has a winnable fight. Mir isn't a knockout machine and can be UD'd, tko'd.
Whatever people might say regarding old fighters, and LHW/MWs competing in a HW tournament. Tournament formats get people excited and this is a brilliant business decision. People will tune in.
And when boring fights and injuries are the result, you will understand why UFC doesn't do "tournaments"
