    Seated barbell?

    Seated dumbbell?

    Standing barbell?

    Standing dumbbell?

And I throw in some hand stand press ups for good measure.

I used to do the smith machine - it feels horrible; the bar doesn't really move in the correct planes of motion.

Anyone serious with their overhead pressing - tell me what's up?

Standing barbell. If you have to sit because you twisted your ankle or something...seated dumbbell.

I do standing strict overhead presses, push presses and a recent addition to my training is kneeling overhead barbell press.

    I get no biznatches though.

I can lift quite a bit heavier, sitting.

When I stand, I also - basically have to use the slight knee flexion.

I max at 55 kgs standing (I just started it last week).

If biznathes are the goal, almost certainly handstand presses are the go to. Anywhere, any time baby.

You bench 140 but only press 55? The biznatches are not impressed with these ratios imo

Hit 60 kgs on overhead press with barbell - standing.

And, 27.5 kgs with dumb bells.

    Which I'm pretty happy with.

They feel so damn good - is the weird thing.

When I say overhead - I mean the push press.

Strict press is - a motherfucker.

I got 40 with strict press.
Trying more than that made me lose the will to live.

Some people say it's kind of dangerous also, for some reason.

There is but only one press, and it is the press. The press is completed by standing with your feet spread apart and holding a barbell against your collar. From there you press the bar straight overhead with no help from leg drive. Sometimes it is redundantly called the standing barbell press, but the press is already completed standing and with the barbell so those terms are really unnecessary. If you only do two pressing movements I would say it should be the bench and the press.

If you can't press your bodyweight then you should be training this movement and not the alternate versions of the press like the seated or dumbbell press. They are really great accessory movements to aid in bringing up the press but I wouldn't bother with them until my real press is up.

How do you bench 140 but only strict press 40 and push press 60?

Do you count bench in lbs and the rest in kg? Lmao
