What is your favorite town/safe zone theme?

Nothing gives me a longing for the simpler childhood days like old video game music

Nothing touches the zelda II "overworld map" theme..although hardly a safe zone.

Ha, I came here to post the N64 version.


Oh, and

Not really restful cause it's not in town bit there are few safe areas if you know where to stand. Awesome music in Zelda series though.



BoF III has a very chill OST. Underrated too.

Glad some mentioned Tristram. First one to pop into my head. FF7 is also filled with memorable town tunes. Mining Town, Cosmo Canyon, every town in Midgar, Nibelhem.

Gotta say, The Pandemonium Fortress in Act IV of Diablo 2 really felt like a refuge amidst the chaos of that map. One of my all time favorites.
