Any UFC fighter who has won two fights in a row has accomplished just as much as a 2 division champ.

UFC fans act like if being a 2 division champ is the same as winning a grand slam in tennis. No, tennis doesn't have weight classes, but if you want to win a grand slam, you have to play your way to the title game.

Just because you won Wimbeldon, it doesn't mean that you automatically play in the title game of Wimbledon. You have to go through competition, and make it to the Wimbledon title game.

Lots of things are over-hyped by the MMA media.

Agreed. Also gsp deserves a big asterisk to that moniker. The guy beat freaking bisping! MICHAEL PILLOWS FOR FISTS, bisping!! Gsp is just a weak opportunist who knew the whole time he wanted nothing to do with the likes of Yoel, Anderson, or Weidman.

You people are truly subpar humans and should be treated for severe retardation.

Yeah people have been a champion at two weight classes, nbd.

But only the GOAT has been a champ champ simultaneously.

GSP was GOAT before the Bisping fight. Just icing on his cake.

    It seems quite obvious.

Some fighters almost kill themselves to get any advantage they can. Then sometimes a hero emerges and says "fuck it...ALL THE BELTS!" and does exactly what he said he would!

    Best worst analogy ever.

The prestige of the belts never meant fuck all, imo. While being a Champion brings monetary gains, it also seems to bring a lot of headaches for some fighters. GSP, Silva and Aldo (recently) talked about the pressures of being Champion and the relief when they vacated/lost the belts.

But back to your point, yeah, who gives a shit.

Because 1 title alone is very difficult. It isn't easy to change your body and make it translate to a fight and beat another guy at his own weightclass

Of course one title is difficult. You have to typically win 5 in a row to get a title shot in the UFC, but the next title is just your next fight. You making statements as if a fighter has to win 5 in a row in a different division to win 2 titles.

TJ is cutting weight to fight DJ at 125 for title shot, so all he is essentially doing is trying to win two fights in a row. He has won more than two fights in row before.

How can somebody who doesn't know shit, tell another person, "you don't know shit"? LOL

At least I am not pretentious. The best I can do is use logical argumentation. If my logic is wrong, point it out. If you don't care to, then fuck off. LOL

Is it really that difficult to stay away from a thread you don't like? LOL

There is pressure or no pressure for everybody. Pressure is subjective and doesn't translate from one human being to another. You can say "it is harder to become a surgeon compared to a garbage pick-up man," but you can never know and you can never prove it to be true.

Society creates false perspective based on how much prestige they give to a particular position/occupation.

If it's not a big deal, then how come so few fighters have ever achieved it?

So a 2-0 fighter is = GSP, BJ Penn, Randy Couture and even McG?

The fact that you asked the question makes it apparent you are a typical Sherdog Hater. Fighter loses a fight he is a bum, Fighter wins a fight everyone he beat is a bum. So what would be impressive? I agree the McGregor did not earn his LW shot in the Octagon and he did have a very manicured road to the FW belt but he still beat Aldo & Alvarez all by himself. BJ won the WW belt because there was no LW division and when they did bring it back he won that one too. Randy won the HW title and the LHW title multiple times.
