What is our military like compared the China and Russia?

Brother,

We don't play defense. We are the James Hardens of the military world. We just wreck people. Look at us wrong. Get wrecked. Got oil. Get wrecked.

The US military can play defense and offense at the same time on multiple places everywhere, shit if the entire world would band together without nukes they would still get fucked up

invading a country that has more guns than people is just a disaster waiting to happen

That's why you don't invade in a conventional way. You use subterfuge, infiltration, ideological subversion, etc..

A Trojan horse, in a manner of speaking. Soft invasion.

Get the people themselves to invite the opposing forces in, or to destroy themselves from within.

No and not even close. The rest of the world has far more means od production. Production wins wars. The rest of the world could spam tanks and we couldn't stop them.

well going that route its not really that complicated, insert clandestine covert ops teams in the most important cities so they sabotage the electric grid and thats it, a couple of weeks without power and shit goes all mad max

no they dont, well maybe the Chinese but thats it

I'd imagine multiple fronts, as there are multiple enemies. And any weak point that can potentially be exploited will be attacked. It's definitely complicated.

But as to your post specifically, enter Eric Dollard's potential conspiracy theory (timestamped):

NA military couldnt beat middle-eastern farmers armed with stones and pitchforks

{<jordan}{<jordan}{<jordan}

That's because the US wasn't trying to "beat" Iraq or Afghanistan. If they wanted to "beat" those countries they could turn them and the rest of the world into glass instantly.

Yes, whatever country you live in is at the mercy of the US. Show a little respect before Trump vaporizes your shithole country

Exactly, it wasnt all out war, it was a mix between a police action and babysitting to stay between regime changes and train the new local troops, if it was all out war all those sandy shiholes would be dunes

America has a higher defense spending than the 7 other highest spenders combined.

It is an obscenely over inflated budget.
While I agree and used to be/still am anti imperialism, the reality is that the order and peace of the world is predicated on our defense spending as a result of the power vacuum after ww2. However Europe has finally rebuilt itself and it's time for them to pick up their share of the burden

Closest thing either conflict was dismantling Iraq's large tank force. Which was essentially done in moments with cataclysmic losses for Iraq. Beyond that it was exactly as you said. Factor in George W and Cheney giving their billionaire defense contractor buddies huge contracts to rebuild the infrastructure we just demolished.

I was reading articles from around mid 2000s and the Russian defense minister admitted their military tech was poor and they would have to buy from America to get it up to snuff.

Around the same time i was reading about the French Navy doing drills with the Russians and commenting on how squalid the conditions were aboard the Russian ships.

I've heard getting conscripted to the military is on par with going to jail including the unwanted booty gooning so <{Joewithit}>

No nukes, if we stayed home we could probably take on the entire planet. Good luck getting those tanks near the US.

The US has the largest airforce in the world. The USAF. We also have the second largest airforce. The US Navy. If you take into account drones and other things the US Army actually has the largest airforce. We also have more aircraft carriers(larger and more advanced as well) than the rest of the world combined. We have more destroyer class ships than Russia and China combined. Our ships and planes are also more advanced.

Our naval and air superiority is on another level.

We couldn't afford or outproduce the rest of the world. It isn't even close.

If you want to get down to the nitty and gritty on how hard it is to beat people, we are still struggling in Iraq and Afganistan. We couldn't stomach the losses in Vietnam. All this tech is great but it isn't cost effective on a grand scale.

We are pretty damn good. We lack quantity, but we make for it in quality. We also have force projection capabilities that they can only dream of. We have an overwhelming advantage in air and naval supremacy, and we use those to cover our deficits in ground supremacy. We may have an edge in armor and artillery, but they each have many, many ground soldiers than we do. We possess a technological advantage though.

Pretty much this.

Another thing I'd think to add is that people often forget our intelligence community too. Not only is our military well ahead of every other nation, our ability to gather intelligence is second to none. Truly amazing what our spooks can accomplish when the gloves come off.

So not only can our guys lay waste to the enemy, we have the means to gather that actionable intelligence unlike any other nation too.

Get the people themselves to invite the opposing forces in, or to destroy themselves from within.

Sounds oddly similar to Russia's behavior.

Do we have the latest gear and technology?
The most potent, powerful missile?

Does America and the West scare China and Russia because of our militaries?
If not, should we in the West be worried?

Our advantage for decades now, is largely based in logistics. Our ability to sustain long military operations just about anywhere in the world makes all the difference.

You should see foreign militaries when they deploy for war games or joint missions, it doesn't matter if it is the UK, Russia, Germany, whoever, they look like amateur fighting forces next to the US, because our fighting force has everything they need, and are drilled to quick, efficient, deployment.

US rolls into an area that they will set up a base, and it looks like an army of ants building a colony. Russians or brits rolls into a new area to set up a base, and everyone stands around waiting to be told what to do.

Out produce? We already have more than the rest of the world. More aircraft, more aircraft carriers, etc.

We aren't struggling in the middle east. That isn't conventional war. We toppled the Iraq military and removed it's regime in a couple weeks.

Sounds oddly similar to Russia's behavior.

Well, Yuri was a Soviet.

So unless you think he's entirely full of shit, the Russians certainly had such things in their playbook.

And I'm sure others do as well.
