If a Brazilian called Americans filthy animals all the time? First off, anyone saying Americans wouldn't care is wrong, they'd be fucking pissed, so if that's the point you want to make with this hypothetical, then yeah, you succeeded I guess. But at the same time, they'd probably give better arguments of why the Brazilian is wrong than Brazilians saying why Colby is wrong.
