That's what I heard in an interview. Has been some time though so who knows now.

A real shame considering he earned a title shot that never happened.

Its weird too. Pettis was the replacement, and it was in his hometown too.

That same ad has been running on the Q for the past 3 or 4 years.'

He got a bad concussion injury during training and it took a long time to get over. He still had to pay the bills, so he took a job that didn't involve getting punched in the head. He has recovered and doesn't suffer any lingering symptoms any more, but it only takes one punch to bring it all back and he doesn't want anything to do with that.

It's a shame that he stayed at 170 as long as he did.

He actually runs an mma gym again he's out Bedford now. Still living in cole harbour tho

He got faceplanted into the mat during training, major concussion, got scared for his health, quit

First concussion happened in the Maynard fight then it was a heel to the temple while rolling. And there's way more to the story on why he didn't come back then just that.
