What Celebrities Have You Encountered?

Im a giants fan, how was cain?

Cool. It was at a drive in car show(everyone brings their own cars)
So it was a public place just chilling. I treated him(and every player I've met with my friend) like a normal person. Introduce myself and the group(Friend, Cain, Estrada, Schierholtz) was just shooting the shit walking around for about 45 minutes. We were talking about cars, trucks, guns and whatnot. He has a really nice white Ferrari F12. Also was wearing a nice Bell & Ross watch.

Met all 3 in Philadelphia

Badass!

Interesting. You know Brad Booth? I knew the guy back in HS days...some interesting stories. Some friends of mine are still tight with him. His poker career certainly went to shit. Still out there, though.

I've met a lot of musical celebs over the years; Seal, Chris Isaak, all the Nickelback dudes (ugh), AC/DC. Motley Crue, Carly Rae Jepsen, Korn, Deftones, FMN, Mr. Bungle, Joni Mitchell, Elvis Costello and Diana Krall (she was so beautiful in person, I legit was blushing like an idiot), a bunch more.

I work in the music industry, so the vast majority of these meets were in recording studios, through other music friends, etc.

My favorite was Diana Krall though. Meet her while on the ferry, after playing a weekend away. Elvis and their kids were there as well. I was sitting in my car, waiting to depart the boat, and they were walking by, looking for their car...she notice I had that "holy fuck, its you?" look. She waived, came up to my window, said "hello"...I mumbled something incredibly incoherent back, ugh. She then noticed my drums in the back of my car, she lit up, asking if I was gigging, etc. I told her the bar I played at, she got excited because she had played there in her earlier years as well. We talked shop for 5 minutes, while Costello stood there with the kids...she introduced me to him and the kids. Super nice people.

How Brad Booth hasn't had a hit put out on him due to the insane amount of debt and his willingness to rip people off is beyond me

I install a printer into Jennifer Aniston's hotel room when she comes to Atlanta. She is very sweet.

What Celebrities Have You Encountered?

Back in like 2005, I was biking down a pathway along the waterfront in Alexandria, VA, and I saw that I was approaching CNN personality James Carville (who was jogging in the opposite direction). He was taller than expected (a little over 6 feet). I had a smirk on my face and was considering saying something smartass to him because I never could stand the dude. As I got closer, I could tell that he noticed that I had recognized him. He grimaced and looked down at the ground, as if to brace for something I was about to say. I just laughed and kept biking past him.

Ha , I too met James Carville in the early 2000s. I was a technician for Verizon and ran a service call at his house in Arlington/Alexandria don't remember which. He got dropped off by a cab in front of his house while I was knocking on the front door. For some reason he didn't have a key to his own house so he had to call someone to let him. I stood in the front porch with him for probably 10 minutes and never mentioned that I knew who he was or anything. Kind of a dour unfriendly guy at least on that day to be honest.

I think dour and unfriendly is every day for him. I could tell he really didn't want to be spoken to.

I know right. Brad's always been a survivor though. He might be on life 8 of 9.

I had a job in media when I was in high school, met quite a few famous people back then (late 90s-early 2000s).

Met most all of the big name pop acts back then(Christina, Brittany, nsync, etc). Aside from Christina being the worst human I have ever met nothing stood out about any of them.

But hands down my best famous person moment, I was around 12 yrs old and was at a local celebrity fund raiser. Gordie Howe was there and I wanted his autograph, the guy is a legend.
I swear I was the only kid in the place, and all these business people and politicians are hogging him, he sees me waiting with my upper deck Gordie card, he excuses himself and comes over, signs my card, and spends the next 20 min shooting the shit with me. The guy was a complete class act and humble as hell, made me realize why guys like Gretzky looked up to him.

I met Jeff Corwin (animal planet guy) at starbucks. I told him I watched the show, he thanked me. I also met joe walsh and tim wakefield at the same starbucks at differnt times.

I walked by Giblert Melendez on the streets of Vancouver after UFC 131 and gave him an "Ayyyyy what's up man?" and he smiled and said he was good.

Got to meet my favorite band Metallica back in 2009. Below is a photo of James Hetfield and myself

Met Mick Foley years back at Six Flags in New Jersey. Very down to earth and took a few minutes out of his day to talk to me.

Met Maury Povich when I went to a taping of his television show.

Anti-strip joint sitting City Councilman at the strip joint. Another former City Councilman there at other times. Maybe one judge there too.

Do you put a bandana on their lap when you dance for them?

I've met a lot of sport personalities and their families and a lot in the music industry. Only Hollywood celebs are Shatner and the guy who plays Gandalf.

Celebs I have interacted with:
Frank Shamrock. Met him randomly at a Safeway in San Jose back in the late 90's. Was surprised anyone recognized him but chatted with me for a little bit before going on his way.
Jessica Nigiri. Took a pic with her at E3.
Linda Hogan (Hulk Hogan's ex). I saw her at the Encore hotel in Vegas, I got shoved by her bf.
James Deen (the porn guy). I recognized him LA, he was driving in his GTR. Our car pulled up to him in at a stop light, I was admiring his car and then looked him eye to eye inadvertently. I said kind of loud where do I recognize this guy from? and the driver's window was down so he heard me. He rolled his window down and said who he was. I got ragged on by my friends for hours for recognizing a male pornstar.
Roger Craig. I rented him a car once.

Celebs I was within 5 yards of:
Arnold Schwarznegger
Joe Montana. I have seen him a few times walking around in SF.

I've met a bunch of MMA fighters that fought or still fought in the ufc, like Robbie Lawler, Din Thomas, Pat Healy, etc while covering events in Southern Illinois and St Louis from 2005-2006 for a local newspaper.

Met Tom Wolfe at the Chicago Public Library downtown when he was doing an interview about one if his books and signing copies. I waited till the end to get my copy of The Candy Colored Tangerine flake Streamlined Baby signed and asked him all sorts of questions about Hunter Thompson.

I went to high school with Chris Nowinski, who was in the WWF for a while and went on to write books about CTE in sports. I actually had to practice with him when I played football freshman year. He was a dickhead back then.. Really hasn't changed much.

Ben Stein on an elevator. Apparently you can win Ben Steins money by grabbing him around the throat and telling him to give it to you. Street smarts yo
