What are your thoughts regarding Ancient Egypt?

    I have been watching a few documentaries regarding the subject lately, and it really blows my mind with what the ancient Egyptians were able to achieve during that time period with their limited technology and machinery.

    Just look at the perfect symmetry of this statue of Ramses II. This would be a difficult to task to pull off even today.

    The Pyramid of Giza has about 2.3 million blocks, with each stone block weighing roughly around 2.5 - 15 tons. The workers would have set a stone block every 2 and a half minutes. That's amazing considering they had no heavy machinery.


    Do you think the Egyptians were just incredibly ahead of their time, or do you subscribe to the "they had help from extraterrestrials" theory?

    Ancient Egypt is an interesting subject. It all seems so strange and mystical, almost like a fantasy world, except that it was real.

    It's interesting to note that very few ancient civilizations have managed to penetrate the popular consciousness, but Egypt certainly has done it.

    My thoughts are it sure would have been nice if they had a written history in English preserved in like engraved metal or like HD video history. A detailed plan on building the pyramids and stuff would be good too, as well as a few pages of notes re: the meteorite dagger.

    Probably the greatest civilization in the World for longer than all the combined time since they lost the title. Created intellectual precursors to most, if not all, ideas that are important today. Yeah, they're kind of a big deal. No, I don't think they needed aliens. They had millennia to get this shit right.

    I think there's still a lot we don't know about the Ancient Egyptians, and may never know.

    But I seriously doubt that aliens had anything to do with it.

    I thought I read once that there WERE shit tons of written histories about the construction of the pyramids and scribes/scrolls that detailed the majority of Ancient Egypt and ancient greece’s history throughout the ages but it was all kept at the Library of Alexandretta (Alexandria? I cant remember the details) the place was once an ancient wonder of the world but it was sacked once and the scrolls barely survived but then the place burned to the ground in a great fire and thus a huge majority of recorded ancient history was lost

    Who knows what we would know today about the ancient world if that had not happened. You gotta be a real asshole to want to burn that shit to the ground.

    Some theories out there that the Egyptians didn’t build any of that shit, just found it and changed it to their liking.

    Like the Spynx, some think it was a dog originally and the destroyed face was changed to what it is now, due to the position of body etc

    I beleive that more than they layed 2 massive stones per minute.

    Unfortunately I doubt we will ever really know.

    Start searching about the pyramids of mars for some good conspiracy theory stuff too

    If you could craft structures out of huge blocks of stone, structures so tall they were only beaten in height in the last couple centuries (and with as much stone used as the Hoover dam) why wouldn't you just build one and use it as a tomb for a dead guy?

    Don't mention the dead guy's name anywhere (in fact put no writing or inscriptions in the structure at all), and later get your civilisation destroyed by bronze weapon equipped "sea peoples", who don't have enough civilisation/culture for history to even remember who they were. So logical.
