I was told by doctors in vegas that a vitamin D deficiency is more likely to cause kidney stones more than being too high, within reason. Some anti-aging clinics do shots of 40,000-50,000 i.u.s of vitamin d3 if they find you are deficent, just to jumpstart things. I believe those dosages are overkill. I also take vitamin k2, which helps remove excess calcium from the bloodstream. I recommend bloodtests and repeated tests to tailor your vitamin d dosage to your bodys needs. Everyone is different.
