Sneaks in the short uppercut right on the button since he knew the takedown attempt was coming. And then instead of rushing in and throwing a wild jumping kick or flying knee like most other fighters would in that situation that totally misses or ends up in a clinch or on the ground he takes his time, keeps his composure, walks him down and stays at a safe distance where he can’t get countered but he can unleash. Man I miss prime Cain.

Both of Artem as weird and unorthodox as they were kinda worked, the hammer fist worked and the rollie pollie appeared to get the guy off his back and Artem into guard position, then shoguns kick used as a good example missed by a country mile.
 
I mean it doesn't get much worse than Tank Abbot's standup defense.

people talk about Couture v Toney but Nelson v Kimbo was a great display of mma skill too

say whatever but Kimbo was a scary, athletic guy but Nelson controlled the entire fight and finished him off with a crusifix without a scratch on him
