Its true that Hispanic is a larger category than just Mexican but in many places in the US the two are used interchangeably since Mexicans are the most visible Hispanics in America. And I don't know how common that sentiment was but the fact that Amy Schumer used it in one of her jokes tells me it was common enough for her punchline to make sense. Maybe it was more of a stereotype among women.

I'm curious to what you're referring? I initially figured you were talking about state tax but quickly realized that was wrong as that would only affect a bit over 10% of the midwives, and definitely not even remotely close to be called "taxed to hell" in that group (it amounts to a 0.2% increase in the worst case scenario).

Nice, then their salaries must have increased much more than the average during the 3 years since the salary info I found was gathered. Good that people in those professions get paid more.
