Watching old Jacares fights

My feeling is that he was looking past Whittaker towards his next big fight; a downfall as old as the ages for great fighters.

That certanly played a mayor roll, but he also looked the same on the feet as he looked in his past 3 fights...flat slow stiff as fuck, this was not the same jaca of 3 years ago...
 
Well it's sad, now we know for sure he'll really never have a title shot...

That's not likely unless he gets cut, as he just resigned for 8 fights with the UFC with last night's fight being the first of those. If he goes on a major skid and gets cut though then it is possible. Otherwise Jacare will be roughly 41 years old by the time his contract expires.

Ah, didn't realise that he'd re-signed.

Thought his contract was just about to end, and he might pull a Rory.

It was supposed to but it seems like he was able to reach a deal where he was happy with the money. Shame this happened to him though.
 
7 more fights against lower-ranked guys for solid money, and then back to the gi. Fingers crossed.
