Watching Mayweather fights.... he is fast but....

Personally the McG has 4 rounds to do something after that he will lose a decision. As much as I don't like Mayweather his boxing is high level, he has been doing this for a long time.
Mayweather beat some legit ppl back in the day when boxing was super popular, not saying isn't popular now but MMA starting to gather new fans.

Boxing rounds are 3 minutes, thats nearly half the length of a UFC round. If McGregor on his new cardio program can go hard for 3 rounds (who knows?) then that would translate at least into 8 boxing rounds. He will only need a couple to finish Mayweather though, no one has pressured him into a corner and T'd off on that chin. Conor will throw him into the corner like Drago did Apollo.

MMA needs way more cardio than boxing does, another thing to consider.

Conor will fold your hero in half in the 1st round because he never fought anyone with decent footwork or ability to cut the ring off. Mayweather opponents look like bums that Mickey from Rocky 3 would be proud of.

Is that guy even real? lol

I think the reason boxing doesn't have really talented individuals, like Conor, is obvious--you'd have to be a fool to want to get punched nonstop for a career. So the elite in boxing is from a limited pool of morons.

The amount of head hits they take in training alone probably makes them all a lot slower and dumber by the age of 25.

Sure, since you're so confident and I'm too, let's do an account bet. The loser posts porn and gets banned. I'm ready

Yeah your 3 month old account is so awesome to trade. Put $2000 on it as well and its a deal.

True, but I am taking into account that this will be his first pro boxing match(unless I am missing something). He would have to adapt to high lvl boxer on his first fight. It is great that his training for a boxing fight, but the experience of handling someone who is been doing it for so long is just different. If McG were to have like 2 or 3 pro boxing fights I would say his chances would be alot better.
Also his fighting style is going to be a huge key, is going to counter, is he going to throw volume and then how much? Is he going to be aggressive? The body needs time adapt to 12 rounds of boxing.

MMA is more cardio taxing than Boxing though, there is no question on this is there?

McGregor has adapted to the higher cardio sport for upto 25 minutes. I don't think cardio will be his problem in this fight if he has any problems.

This. When the boxing fans talk about all the years in the ring and how their heros are so experienced, they fail to mention that the law of diminishing returns says that you start to plateau off in improvement after you've mastered a strike. These guys are likely all just going backwards, and the highlight video of Floyd seemed to suggest that. There is a reason he retired.

Is it just me, or is Sherdog even better entertainment that it was 10 years ago? It seems a lot of the noobs who come here nowadays are even more retarded than the crowd that started signing up after TUF was getting going. Just look at this guy's posts. I love it.

Every opponent Mayweather has fought in the last 10 years would beat Conor in a boxing match.

Boxing morons like to portray Mayweather as this athletic freak that no one came close to beating him. But look at those highlights and tell me a lot of his opponents don't look like extras from The Walking Dead with their movement.

There is a reason why MMA is the most popular combat sport now because it challenges you on a much deeper level than any other combat sport to date. McGregor has simply faced the much better challenges and will end Mayweather.

That is a legit question, i am not sure. I just think knowing Mayweather he will frustrate Connor by making chase him(Connor chasing Mayweather and then getting frustrated or annoyed).
After awhile Connor will get kinda relentless, would probably throw more volume to set up Mayweather for tko or a drop. After awhile those boxing gloves can start feeling heavy.

Not a noob. You'd have to be a real knuckledragger to become a professional boxer, for the most part.

All those opponents that Floyd faced looked like they were stuck in the mud in there.
