There's a slight difference. He's good at hiding how much danger he was in. But it went from looking like he was having fun and supreme confidence to this sort of stern face of uncertainty. Can you imagine Conor doing a staredown with that face?

I'm surprised that shot didn't put Conor out by Diaz. Diaz knocked Lawler out with a shot that wasn't near as hard as that one and Lawler is one of the most durable fighters of all time.

15:45 was the real turning point. Nate was getting beat pretty bad until here, where he decided to turn it up and you can tell by his body language. My guess is he was waiting for Conor to empty his gas tank, then turn it up.
He started to taunt, slap, and started going forward for the first time.

That a lot of you guys are holding on to something that happened two years ago, is telling, when one guy has moved way past that moment and the other guy is just waiting around for another "moment like that". Nate Diaz could have capitalized on his success with the McGregor fights, much the same way McGregor did but he and his management seem to have the accumulative intelligence of a bag of vegetables. Conor was fucked before the 1-2. He hit Nate with everything and although busted up, Nate was for the most part unfazed. Conors spirits were crumbling faster than his gas tank.
