Than also handing all the considerable resources within the south China sea to that enemy so economicly they are strengthened.

Afterwards the entire region will become pro China than Russia as they'll use this opportunity to trade and apply influence in return for opposing China for these countries.

I'm far from a military specialist but to me it looks like you have a hell of a lot to lose. You remove support and they'll find it elsewhere.

Also, this would mean Seoul being razed, a new refugee crisis, and the possibility of conflict with China.
