Cliffs:
He thinks porn is useful for "research purposes" but ultimately a waste of precious seed

You read that right

I somewhat always thought JVS was asexual. I know he's a father but kind've just pictured him self replicating via some variation of meiosis after a night of consuming too much 19th century philosophy and locally sourced organic fair trade pour over espresso.

But that sniperwolf chick is mint!

Waigu was majorly offended by this and said bad things about her face and body. I asked him to post a picture of his last girlfriend, and he posted this:

He then spoke at length about her femininity, not bothering to mention that it wasn't his gf. Things have been a little weird ever since lol.

That chick is hot, the SSS one. What is wrong with @waiguoren ?

While this seems like an inhuman way of looking at relationships, when you discuss "sexual market value" that's a reference to the kind of totality of decision-making. And I don't think that's correct. I know speaking for myself, when I was single, virginity would be very close to a deal-breaker, and I think enough people would think of it like that to severely, negatively affect the "marketplace value" (again, an ugly way of looking at it).
To discuss it in those terms is pretty dehumanizing. I find the the need to boil everything down to a number value and in many cases in dollars and cents terms to be quite an ugly trait. As Einstein said, not everything that can be counted counts and not everything that counts can be counted.

And I say that as someone who agrees to an extent with his general point.
First part: You're one of the smartest posters here, and you make a sincere effort to understand all points before spouting off about them. Makes me particularly interested in your perspective on issues.

Second part, I heard Dan TDM "We are Never Ever Going to the Nether" before I heard the song that it is parodying.
Well in hindsight I guess I should expect as much from a guy who has been posting on a karate forum since 2004.

Excellent piece from John Holbo (one of the best liberal commentators around) that explains a bit of the craziness we see here, and the descent of wai:

http://crookedtimber.org/2018/06/13...e-extraordinary-populist-delusions-of-crowds/

I think it also explains why wai's "I'm not a Trumper" stuff rings so hollow. He'll occasionally disavow a particularly crazy claim, but without conceding the absurdity or obvious dishonesty of it (and some of the claims--like that Trump has been bellicose in dealings with Russia--he'll defend).

"I don't yearn for the days when women were property, but here is a system for valuation of women on impersonal bases, complete with the ability to graph."
<{anton}>
He's Asian himself? That actually makes it a bit less weird to me.
I thought he was one of those white guys who love East Asians and sees them as the only good non-whites. He's probably at one point praised East Asian women for being more traditional than white woman and thus more desirable though he'd likely not see a South Asian woman in the same light despite the same being true of them.

My understanding is that his handle is a Chinese term for someone who isn't East Asian.

This sounds highly accurate
He's definitely praised East Asian women for having more "marriage market value" due to being more submissive, chaste, and "traditional" than their white counterparts that invariably take a spin on the ol cock carousel
I lol every time I type that, btw

The uh, marketing aesthetic of virginity does seem similar to early adopters paying way too much for an inferior product because they want to be in there first. For whatever that's worth lol.

I remember when I started having sex, after a few months I got very possessive and monogamy/low number of partners became really important to me, and looking back I was kind of petty about it. I think that's a relatively normal phase to go through, but it didn't ever occur to me to really dig on that idea and make into some kind of personal philosophy or let it dictate the value of women. I did know a couple of guys who weren't able to let that go, and it caused some nasty problems for them. It's creepy, makes you worry for the safety of their partners. There wasn't much sadder than seeing a happy young woman turn into a depressed shell of herself.

It actually makes sense if he's an incel.

Incels deserve to be mocked lol.

I would say I went through that phase not when I first starting having sex, but when I first starting having real girlfriends in junior high and high school in which some level of sexual intimacy was at play. I think most men at some point brood over the immorality of sleeping around and the importance of being faithful to significant others, etc. and being kind of petty about it.

As soon as someone uses SMV as a way to describe women, I immediately assume they are an incel and no longer care about their opinion on women.
