The charts wouldnt refresh for like 10 minutes. Probably couldnt buy or sell either. Not sure. Didn't try. I know nothing of computers but I assume too many people were trying to do the same thing at once. Probably same thing with bots on discord. Everybody is punching in commands for the bot to look up AMD and its head exploded like in I Robot. It couldn't comprehend the irrational behavior of so many humans caring about such a shit stock.

Oh, it actually had a good pop recently. All those guys probably got excited. Up to 16 dollars now. Only around 14 at start of month. That is a BIG move for AMD. lol.

Yeah I have a reference to this accounts original name in my sig... plus the name change is basically what People called blame for short.

But I can see lots of potential for name change bets in the future which might have hilarious results. Better than a sig bet for sure.
 
I'm tempted to get plat just so I can change my name in subtle ways to fuck with people.

And the changes are great for browsing. I might be able to reduce the aggressive noscript+adblock I had enabled on here to avoid those shitty ads.
 
Just lost all respect I had for Nassim Taleb. He is defending Musk and blasting this actress for posting a video of her car on fire. Going on about statistics. So I showed him Musk's claims and the statistics that show Musk is full of shit. And he blocked me. lol.

The ads are seriously reduced. Every once in a while something weird comes through, but there's basically nothing. I still run adblock out of habit but don't seem to need noscript because I'm not some kind of Mozilla subhuman. <Moves>

Plat forum has been slow for a while now (used to be hopping), but good people there. The "what happens in the plats stays in the plats" is taken seriously.

If you go in a persons profile that changed their name, you will be able to see their history. So the feature won't prevent people from trying to become someone new.

I agree I can get confusing but with that in place, it's far more tolerable and prevents a lot of manual name change requests.

There are subtleties and familiarities that will be lost.
I'm not going to bother investigating people's profiles just to I can relearn/ associate their senses of humor/ general political leanings.
 
Also if you change both the user name and the avatar, it's just too much. I mean I still know Tobacco is CEROVFC (so TAFKACEROVFC actually) because he kept his av, but it's just weird IMO.
